A $100 retail hat today is made from roadkill sheep wool with sweatband of recycled plastic bottles and a liner dyed with ink from a closed newspaper printing company. Use that as your expectation and your expectations will be met, or if you're lucky, exceeded.
I love this photo. I have to ration my visible hats. Any time I have too many out in view at one time the tension in the household increases a bit and it's not my Golden Retiever Arthur that is the one getting fussed up.....
+1 EXACTLY.
I know some people passing my place must have to wonder why someone would be wearing a clean pristine felt hat while shoeing a horse.
A good sweat makes most any brand of hat become "Self-Conforming".
As to some other places mentioned where hats are removed: I go to a local...
You're a Canadian hat maker and you give a hat to a future king AND IT'S NOT BEAVER!!!
Isn't that an insult?
I thought beavers are the official animal of Canada. If they gave them tree saplings would they give them bamboo saplings? (or whatver small bamboo trees are called).
For picture sizing many of the resizers that are free or are included on your PC will just have small medium, and large as choices.
I will select Medium and when it is done I right click on the resized pic file and see what size it is. 150 Kb more or less is a good picture but ships over the...
"6. If you have software to work on the pictures after taking, remember to resize the version you will use for sharing... 72dpi and a length of 12-14" works well. FL will downsize your picture to fit, but no reason to start with a 10mb file. Your email recipients will appreciate a sensible use...
Yep, that was really my point. Not that they are stingies but that the ones shown all were junk quality and some WAY overpriced due to the name stamped on them. The weave on them was so loose they really wouldn't keep water or wasps out of the tractor exhaust......
I guess if they plant a seed...
I assumed it was Rex Allen Sr or Jr's hat. I have never heard of a Bailey hat model called the Rex Allen.
One of the local stations shows old westerns and they are showing Frontier Doctor with Rex Allen Sr and he wears a Damn sharp bound edge hat that is an odd style.
Looks to be 3 inch brim...
My experience with downsizing hats is that cloth strips work best. Foam expansion pushes the sweatband over when it expands off your head and wrinkles the sweatband in my experience.
Wearing hat until it is damp with sweat and then having the foam push the sweat inward when it expands off your...
Resistol should have carried on with the aircraft name thing. A high crown at front could be the 747. A long short crown hat with little room for your head in it could be the DC-9/MD-80/88. A hat with the felt peeling could be the 737.
Art Fawcett has the rep of working with people and determining the hat for them.
Optimo in Chicago does too but I think that is by in-person service and a rack full of hats.
I hope the dim lighting as a setup for a "dark" movie quits being taught in cinematography school.
Dim lighting does not a "dark" movie make. It just makes a movie hard to watch.
