I would wear it from 5 degrees C downwards. It was well below zero on the day of the photo so I kept my sweater on, no problem. I tend to wait outside shops though when my wife if browsing inside. The lack of fleece on the sleeves and waist is more subtle than the B3.

What is a good price for a 4 year old ELC Roughwear B3 Jacket?

This is one of the jackets without the better warhorse horsehide facings and improved sheepskin so any comparisons with the new price may not be very realistic. Having said that it is highly desirable and on the right day could fetch a good price. In GBP I would say between 350 and 450. A...

Gloves ? not military just cheap old brown gloves ! The weight is an issue for these jackets and it is true that it is seldom cold enough to justify wearing on. Similarly my Audi is governed down to 155 mph but I doubt very much I will ever go any where near that speed even for were legal. They...

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

I was talking specifically about the latest ELC 44 pattern jacket. The cuffs on mine weren't will made so I returned it. I believe Andrew has an earlier superior version that is no longer available.

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

Because the lower arm panels are made from very coarse sheepskin, separate higher quality cuffs are sewn on to the ends of the arm. This adds an extra seam and in my case unsightly bald skin or flattened wool.

I have only worn it for an hour or so it is quite heavy as are all these jackets time will tell I suppose. It is probably heavier than the Eastman version, but with the waist straps done up fairly tightly some of the load is taken off the shoulders.

Sorry about the slippers and blurred final photo. My wife was impatient and pushed my phone too hard. The colour of the wool is less yellow than shown and the overall gloss is also less In reality. For fit I am 5 10 and 170 pounds. The fit is relaxed so I could probably squeeze into a 40.

Stuart listened to his customers and has ditched the bulletproof skins for new skins of stupendous quality. I don't know where they are from but they are in short supply.

No time yet to take photos but the jacket has exceeded my very high expectations. The sheepskin is simply the best I have ever seen. Bobbly nubbed fleece with a soft glossy outer.( Why do some repro makers use dry dead looking materials ?) It even came with a NOS Conmar zip ! It might be ever...

I spoke to Stuart to ask his advice and he recommended a size 42 regular. My old jacket was slightly big on the waist.
