Ok, one more. I’ve had this one for a week or so but I haven’t posted it anywhere. I’m on a roll in finding vintage in my true long oval size. Found it on Posh and negotiated a very good price. I happened to see in the listing’s comment section that our infamous friend and prolific eBay seller...
I just received this old Strat. I wasn't in the market for one as I've spent too much on hats lately but this one was not only my size of 7 1/8 but it was a long oval, my true size. I couldn't pass it up.
It took this quick center crease very well but there are some slight ghost creases of...
Ha! The nephew married into a prominent car dealership family. Her family is loaded but they're redneck at heart lol. They all love hunting and fishing and such. Difference is, I would have to ask a local farmer if I could bird hunt his fields; the nephew's in laws just book a weeklong trip to...
@The Lost Cowboy
Yeah I enjoy his posts!
My nephew and his family live in Huntsville in the Twickenham District and I love visiting. Beautiful city! I was there not long ago.
I've been enjoying your posts as well! And I agree with Story, nice job on that crease!
Awaiting my first real panama. Listed as Retro Panama Hat. Labeled as a size 7 but supposedly measures at 22 1/2", which should fit as a 7 1/8. We shall see.
Yeah something about native wildlife and customs and retail all combined. Perhaps there are additional retailer/wholesale buyer fees to import products containing exotic skins or relics from foreign wildlife and therefore not being able to resell those items at competitive prices while...
Ahh, the Aussie version with the sharks tooth! I think i like that crown with a hand creased look to it I have one in fawn but it's the American David Morgan version sans the sharks tooth. Mine came shaped off center just a bit too much for me so I had to do a little work to it.
Haha I did the same thing. There’s a note on the listing that says the seller is away until the 16th, which is today. Maybe she hasn’t been online to check her messages. She’s in for a crappy surprise when she does get back online lol.
Disregard my question above. After looking back at the photos, the hat is not labeled as a Flagship. It is being sold with a flagship box and the seller has it labeled as a flagship.
Carry on with your day.
Question for you guys: did Stetson ever make the Flagship with a narrow bound edge and a narrow grosgrain ribbon treatment, similar to the Open Road? I have recently seen one with those features. The liner and sweat are labeled as Flagship but have those Open Road-ish brim and ribbon treatments...
Very nice! I’ve been in the market for a good straw for some time but I can’t seem to find one available in my size that really suits me. Superior Hats may be the ticket!
Does anyone know if Tim is still making felt hats? He has four or five recent posts on IG of some panamas he’s built or reworked but no other posts since ‘21. Just curious if is still making felts on a regular basis.
Is this hat creased backwards? At first I thought the photo may have been taken by a phone that projects a mirror image but upon closer examination, it appears the binding seam is on the front of this brim.
