Wonderful hats, as always, Eric! I hope that bird doesn’t think he can provide cream for your coffee!

That’s a beauty, David! If you ever decide you have too many, I’m a 7 1/8 too. Just sayin’.:cool:

Looks great! Tilapia was my next guess. Homemade hush puppies are the best! I'm in Alabama where we're up to our eyeballs in catfish.

Thank you, good sir! I'm happy to be in this brotherhood at last. I've seen some fine, fine examples here in this thread. Now that I have mine, I'll enjoy seeing other member's new Gannons as they arrive.

As As Eric said, advice well-heeded! If I go that route, I’ll definitely consult with Michael. I wish flat and up brims looked good on me but they just don’t. I don’t have enough head height from my forehead to the top of my skull to pull that look off. That packer drawl would improve the look...

Thank you Randy! I don’t have a ton of experience with true vintage felts, but this Gannon is comparable to my 70+ year old Stetson 3X OR. The Stetson brim is more pliable and soft but that could be partially due to age. The crowns are very similar in hand. I’ll be looking forward to my next!

Yes sir, that hat is on Michael’s IG page and I used it for color inspiration. I hope you don’t mind. I have also seen and read where you posted it earlier in this thread. I would like a highwayman with your modified ribbon width as my next Gannon. Of course, I will order different colors in...

Already considering getting back in line lol. I thought the hat on the bed thing only pertained to cowboy hats. I sure don't need any bad luck!

I will see what I can do in terms of attire. I'm in the deep south and it looks like it may be shorts, t shirts, and flip flops until November. I wish our cool weather lasted a bit longer so I could stretch out felt season and get more wear out of my flannels and coats. I was up your way about...

My first Gannon has been a very positive experience. The Natural colored felt is spectacular and the commando ribbon seems like a perfect match. The 2 3/4” brim has some stiffness but the 5 1/2” open crown was pounced much finer. The crown is extremely soft and delicate. Handling the hat by the...

Hat has been delivered. I left the office to go home and open it. I couldn’t wait until tonight lol. Absolutely stunning work to my eyes. I’ll post pics and thoughts tonight.

My Gannon is out for delivery. I won’t see it until this evening but the anticipation is driving me nuts! USPS has actually impressed me. The hat shipped from near Los Angeles on Monday and out for delivery in Alabama on Wednesday morning.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Wonderful hats, Eric! Your brims appear to have minimal flange, which I like a lot! Do you use the iron method to achieve that look or were they like that already? I’d be very curious to know.
