Good deal. They're just young fellers, in their 30's from North Carolina but they're keeping that music alive. They toured with and opened up for Mere Haggard for about 7 years. They played the Grand Ole Opry last weekend. -

My sentiments, exactly. I won't pass on a regular oval if I want the hat but I actively search for long oval. I recently bought a vintage stratoliner in great condition just because it was my size in long oval. I wasn't looking to buy but I couldn't pass it up because they don't come around too... -

I bought a late 40s to early 50s 3x OR from this guy a couple years back. It was advertised as 7-7 1/8. I had correspondence with him regarding my size as 7 1/8. He did his best to convince me it could easily be stretched as it was already a 7+++. I gambled and bought it as it was in great shape... -

@Mighty44 I wish I could tell you more about the felt but I can definitely tell you that it is a fine looking hat. Congrats on that score! I had been interested in some 25s in the past but they're usually shaped in a cattleman's crease and appeared to be too stiff for easy reshaping. My search... -
