I have smoked many a My Father cigar back in the day. And that Flor De Las Antillas is a fantastic blend! Perfect hat to enjoy with a fine smoke!

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I just did A Google search, IIRC. It's been a while. And they did A great job with blocking and resizing. I was just disappointed with that sweat. I was already bummed about the hat not fitting and then I had to sacrifice the original sweat. I hadn't seen a mid oval either. But one of these...

    Western, anyone?

Good deal. They're just young fellers, in their 30's from North Carolina but they're keeping that music alive. They toured with and opened up for Mere Haggard for about 7 years. They played the Grand Ole Opry last weekend.

    Western, anyone?

I'm A rockabilly fan as well. I've been listening to The Malpass Brothers lately. They're are all over the spectrum but I'd classify them as rockabilly.

    Regular Oval vs Long Oval

My sentiments, exactly. I won't pass on a regular oval if I want the hat but I actively search for long oval. I recently bought a vintage stratoliner in great condition just because it was my size in long oval. I wasn't looking to buy but I couldn't pass it up because they don't come around too...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Some photos of said hat. Something else I find peculiar is the hat was originally 7 1/4. See tag behind the sweat. Seems like a bunch of shenanigans going on here.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I bought a late 40s to early 50s 3x OR from this guy a couple years back. It was advertised as 7-7 1/8. I had correspondence with him regarding my size as 7 1/8. He did his best to convince me it could easily be stretched as it was already a 7+++. I gambled and bought it as it was in great shape...

    The Open Road Guild

@Mighty44 I wish I could tell you more about the felt but I can definitely tell you that it is a fine looking hat. Congrats on that score! I had been interested in some 25s in the past but they're usually shaped in a cattleman's crease and appeared to be too stiff for easy reshaping. My search...

Better carry some reducing tape or foam inserts! His hat might fit you like a lamp shade!
