Thank you Robert, you are so right.
Her first custom fedora.
I commissioned the knit/build for her arrival. She turned 6 last week.
We never get used to that, one minute she's just come into the world, next thing she's started school. My Dad freaked when I turned sixty, not having any children I never thought that I would have that experience. A couple of months ago we travelled to London to attend a family member's funeral. There we met my four-year-old bridesmaid, who turns sixty next birthday. Now I know why my Dad freaked.

My blazer just needed the right hat, although it does contrast well with slate grey. Having seen the hat above, Tina said: "You need a pair of trousers in a lighter green, the colour will give the blazer a lift and the hat will very much look the part. The fabric that the lady bought online arrived today. New trousers in the offing!

Two outstanding hats, Marcel. And it's not even sunday yet!
Light weight Borsalino for a late evening summer rendevous.

If that outfit doesn't do the trick, Steve, it's a lost cause.

Thanks for the kind words on the homburg friends. I took the afternoon off and watched the new Mission Impossible movie and traded in the homburg for my favorite summer felt.

I believe this Canadian Royal Stetson to be from the early fifties, but I could be wrong. I had to have a new sweat put in a few years back, but the onionskin on the liner makes me think that.

The 2 3/4 inch brim is slightly larger than I prefer (I love a 2 5/8 inch) but the boxy crown gives this a look reminiscent of old gumshoes that I like a lot.

Still not sure about the aviators over my eyeglasses. I only recently needed glasses so I’m still working out their logistics. This is a darn practical solution though.

Nice fedora. Now the sunglasses you can just buy some prescription sunglasses. Shop around, my local Costco is a good price with actual Raybans in stock.
Or you can always find the classic clip on.
Hope that helps

Got to go with the Stetson, tough decision though.
At church this morning I was informed that in the early
days of the movies, baddies wore black hats.
I smiled and said that was the reason I needed church.
That got a smile and a "nice hat," compliment.

Thanks, Robert. They probably thought better not to take the risk. Theyr were right about the hat though. Your outfit this week is superb.

Great line up, Stefan.

While I admire them all, I'm going to have to go for the Herbert Johnson. It's just that bit special.

Nice find, great catch :)

Thank you, Phil.

Sunbody for shopping earlier in the day.
View attachment 534498 I had hoped to wear my Panama hat at some stage today, but the scorching weather called for a bigger brim.
Akubra Range for a visit to our favourite Thai restaurant.

Very nice, gary. I like the look of that Akubra.

Wow. What a lineup. That Caxton is super sharp
Thanks, Joe. The Caxton was screaming to be let out of the box.
