    Pre 1940s Stetson Westerns

Great find. There have been a few posted. I remember Justin had a nice one. It was a budget priced Stetson brand. The imprint is charming.

    Turquoise/Native American jewelry

180 degrees on this one... an example of Diné modernism by a master. Kenneth Begay lived from 1913-1977 and was an important force in modernist directions in native art. The photo below shows Begay (right) with his cousin Allen Kee and the original owners of White Hogan (Scottsdale) Virginia...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

The color of this Borsalino - monlov - has no translation that I can find. It's connected in my heart to "mon amour" because I love this early post war western very much. The unusual roasted tobacco color is shown accurately in these daylight shots. (There is a small town about 100km from...

    Turquoise/Native American jewelry

Here is a newer acquisition... an unmarked bracelet of unknown era - 1930s to 1950s is my guess. The silver work interested me - no stamping at all but lots of twisted wire and beautifully done file/chisel work. The stone was identified by the (knowledgable) seller as stormy mountain turquoise...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Wearing today a pre-WWII Barbisio... made with "rat-gondin" or in modern French, ragondin, or even more attractively, nutria. It's a wonderful hat imprinted with French descriptive - the international language of fashion not spoken by many in Bulgaria.

Men rings - How to choose? What do you wear?

I recently began wearing my Dad's 1960s star sapphire ring. He had small hands, but found that it fits well on the ring finger of my left hand.

    Western, anyone?

Post-WWII Borsalino sold in the Motor City. More western than dress western.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Another western hat from Borsalino... postwar, sold from the Motor City. The dimensions and felt character of this hat lean more toward cowboy than the Ludoela Open Road/Stratoliner thin ribbon styles.

Chapeau Corot or Dickerson & Co. of Detroit. Anyone here remember them?

Another hat from the Motor City to bump this old thread. And ps to the post above from 2015 - Shinola has a fun catalog of products.

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

So much beauty in such a small size. And in Borsalino, likely a little smaller as well. Great to see them - I hope a good home is found.

    Post New Hats Here!

There used to be some dedicated Adam collectors on the Lounge. They showed nice designs but budget construction as befit their price point in the market. Adam operated retail stores and marketed heavily in their heyday. They had quite a few shops in the NYC area if I remember correctly. I've...
