Thanks again Alan. I have enjoyed the Adam’s that have come my way so far… but this one by far the most. I need to get around to posting them in the Adam Alley. There used to be some dedicated Adam collectors on the Lounge. They showed nice designs but budget construction as befit their price point in the market. Adam operated retail stores and marketed heavily in their heyday. They had quite a few shops in the NYC area if I remember correctly. I've admired some of the hats posted in years past but have never bid on or purchased one.
The mid ribbon with fancy pleat and bow is really great. And the sweatband, a weak spot on many Adam vintage hats, seems to be perfectly serviceable. A good get and good look for you.

As to their marketing… in a bit of a cross over for me. While searching for items related to wrestler Nature Boy Buddy Rogers for his tribute site and pages, I came across advertisements for his matches that were sponsored by Adam hats… or tickets available at Adam hats.
100% Wool hat from N33 (www nthirtythree.com) Normaly i'm not the biggest fan of woolhats, but this one is actually quite nice. Great colour "cloud grey" and good proportions. This model is called "Tilby". Only 1 thing negative is that the bow is always on the right side (their trademark). But overall a nice hat and very comfortable to wear.

Yes, i don't understand it either.Love the color, Marcel. The bow on the right is an unusual choice as traditionally that has been a mark of a woman’s hat. It doesn’t take anything away from the hat, it’s just odd that they chose that as a “trademark.”
I think I would always try to put it on backwards. Then again I could always reverse the crease and wear it front-to-back.
Way to go, Brent! Your patience and persistence has been duly rewarded, especially with the matching box to boot.Unicorn!

The hat fits like a custom: the extra long oval probably has a lot to do with that. I suspect that the sweatband is a replacement since it lacks all Stetson markings, but the reverse side has me second guessing. The paper tabs holding in the liner is something I associate with refurbished hats??? The leather sweatband is unlike anything I’ve felt before. It’s not particularly thin, but it’s buttery soft and as supple as I could wish. The underside of the brim is covered in green grosgrain which I find unusual and attractive. The green isn’t flashy or even overly obvious. It came complete with a felt pad for keeping the plush smooth.
This is a hat I’ve long wanted just to have. Anyone want to opine on the age?
This isn't just an E-Vent, Joe. This Adam is the Main Event. Awesome get!Adam Executive - The E-VENT

Adam Executive - The E-VENT
Light Pecan Colored Ultra Light Felt
4 3/4 crown as shaped - about 5 1/2 open
Unlined and vented
2 5/8 brim with very short underwelt
Two rows of brim stitching
3/4 inch matching grosgrain ribbon
Box pleat/gills treatment
The latest arrival, which came off a hot tip from Brent @deadlyhandsome, is the Adam Executive - E-Vent. It was without a doubt the unusual ribbon styling with a decorative wind trolley button sewn on for good measure along with the cool vent pattern that caught my eye. But upon arrival there is so much more to love. This unlined felt is super soft and ultra thin. That sort of “blow a crease in it” kind of felt… but somehow incredibly obedient. The brim is 2 5/8 with a narrow underwelt and two rows of brim stitching. I couldn’t tell if the E-Vent sweat cooling system really worked… but it did FEEL like it was cooler.. may have been my imagination. It really is an Exquisite hat that fits absolutely perfectly. Thank you again Brent for thinking of me on this one.

Bought this Borsalino today for 15 euro. According to the seller it's dated from the 60's. View attachment 369724 View attachment 369725 View attachment 369726 View attachment 369727 View attachment 369728 View attachment 369729 Couldn't let it go!
