    I just dropped my deposit down for a 'Jin Special'. Fit jacket target is Feb 9 with about another ten days to complete the jacket once feedback on the fit jacket is received. Looks like this might even arrive on my 50th birthday! :)

    The more pics I look at, the more I think that Horween is using the same CXL colors on both their horse and steer hides. The difference might be in batches, camera exposure or maybe the different hides take to the color just a little differently.

    About the same quality as Merc or Brutus, better than Warrior. The fit is about the same as Brutus or Ben Sherman’s Soho fit. If you are on a tight budget, you could do worse.

    Cordovan is both a color and a a specific (rump) part of the horse’s hide (shell cordovan). It gets really confusing in the shoe world! There is a fair bit of variation in CXL8- from reddish brown to bright cherry.
