That tag has the R in the circle was first put on the union label in 1962, being the only main difference from the 1949 union tag, which still read "Copyright 1949". The red vs. black numbering has also been debated over in terms of dating, though in my experience, I've only seen black numbers...
Even without the baseball cap band, those hipster fedoras are ugly to begin with. I thought it was bad enough when they put the adjusters on yacht and civil war caps.

The jacket is dated 1929 but the seller claims it might be a retrofitted 1910's jacket. Regardless it's a pretty unique find.
