I think I have a Columbia Knit rugby shirt, so if this shirt is the same material, that is a nice thickness.
So back in the day these shirts were originally made, would the letters have been some type of iron-on felt, or would they have been embroidered, or would it have just been some other...
That's a nice looking jacket!
This thread needs more photos. :)
Anyone know around what time frame this style of jacket started being manufactured?

I have leather jackets from probably 2oz to over 5oz, and as others have said, the warmth is more determined by what is between your human skin, and the leather skin. The leather definitely acts as a great windbreaker, so if it is just a little chilly with a breeze, the leather can be quite...
I get the "not washing" thing. And I bet I have some pairs of pants that have gone years without washing. But at some point my jeans start getting enough wear on them that they get sent to the "work jeans" pile. Once they get covered in grease and mud, I have to break down and wash them, and...
Please post a review when you get it. I'd like to know how heavy the material is. I was on a search a few years ago for heavy rugby shirts, and must have bought 5 or 6 different brands before finding ones worthy of being called rugby shirts.

Your feelings will change. :)
Seriously, the smoothness of writing with a wide-nibbed fountain pen is nothing like writing with a scratchy ball point pen. I was like you, and only wanted a fine point. Now I tend towards at least a medium.
I know this thread is about jackets and not models, but I have been thinking the exact same thing since that photo was posted.
And as for the jackets, every time Carrie posts more photos I have to visit their website. She'll be getting an order from me, sooner than later, for sure.
How much will these shrink when they get washed at some point? I have been looking for a pair of heavy denim jeans but no place in my area has any to try on, so I'd have to order online. I have no idea how these would fit or shrink, and I have been burned by the shrinking of jeans in the past...
Nothing wrong with studying the Civil War! And being in WV you have lots of opportunities to attend reenactments within a reasonable travel distance.
I've been using fountain pens almost exclusively to write with for at least ten years now, and bought my first one probably 20 years ago. I...
I use LP on White's roughout boots. If you put it on 1/8" thick it will make a mess, but if you work it in using light coats it will lessen the knap somewhat, but the boots still look like suede.

pilot error,
I see my thread got merged with this one. I do wish there were more photos in this thread. I was thinking Cal Leathers is probably the closest to what I have, but so many of them turn up online for sale without any tags, that I really wasn't sure. If that's what I have, then I...
The Obenauf's LP (and their leather oil) are both basically clear. The LP is a clear grease-type substance and the leather oil is a clear very thick oil. I never saw it affect the color of thread.
If that is an actual photo of your boots, either the LP or oil (or almost any leather...
That's funny. It seemed that all I was finding were ones with belts, or both belts and side lacing. Look at it this way, if you were fairly confident your waist size wasn't going to change much, you could always have the leather flaps with the eyelets removed and the side gusset cut and sewn...
latest old police cycle jacket purchase
I've been trying to find a certain style of leather jacket for a while now. I did pick up a Schott cafe racer, but I was also looking for one of the asymmetrical zip motorcycle jackets. A few things I was looking for was side lacing adjusters, no waist...
You're already at the site of the best leather care product in the world. Just get the Heavy Duty LP and you're set. lol That is all I use on anything I have made of leather.

I don't think I have ever seen a removable liner where the zipper pull (the part that moves along the zipper) stayed with the jacket when the liner was removed. This would be on Schott, Excelled, Wilson leather, and a few others with names I've forgotten.
