Now, I'm a little curious. How many people prefer the wider binding to a more modern narrow binding. I know the wider gives the hat more of a vintage look but this is a hat to sell to the masses as well.

The Nostalgia will have a matching binding. As for the width of the binding, we will have to see what is available. I don't know if Hatco has the wider binding available today. It's not like the Stetson of the past. They cant even do a stitched edge today. The hats are now made in the Garland...
The Stetson St Regis was a standard hat in the Stetson line for many years . I believe the hat was sold from the early 1940's until the late 1960's. We used to sell the hat un our store during the late 1960's . The earllier ones are of much better quality and tend to be softer . They are fairly...
The hats will be here soon. We've been waiting very patiently since I first received my sample( which now belongs to Analogist) . I hope it will be a nice hat .

Having seen Analogists new Stetson, I can verify that it is one sharp looking hat. I have never seen a pleated band on a hat before in this way. I hope that a pic is posted soon, so you all can see what I mean. It was an absolute pleasure to shape this hat. I didnt have to use one drop of steam...
The Schobles are great hats . They are on par with the classic Stetsons of their time. Bring out more Shobles Johnny and I will buy them !!

Now that is one nice looking hat !! . With that pleated bow, it loooks to be from the early 1940's. You are lucky that you have a small head. Us big sizes have a hard time finding nice vintage hats to wear on OFAS.

I do believe that Brooks Bros carries Borsalino hats today . In the past, they carried hats made in England that were most probably made by Christy's. I got one on OFAS a few months ago. It's as light as a feather.

I dont think that a collapseable hat can be streched . They were meant to sit higher on ones head.
Try and resell it on the 'bay. Big sizes go fast .

We carried Lee hats back in the 1950's . I believe they were made in Danbury CT . A good hat , they were meant to be a middle of the road hat to sell to the working class. Most of them sold for 7.95 to 15.00. OFAS has them from time to time. I would definately bid on one from Johnnys' auction...
Try your local hat store. We sell sturdy hat boxes for 4.00 that have a nesting ring and handle all day long. They are used for mailing as well.
