The Kimber Pro carry II has been here before, but is included again today with a couple of holster success stories. Since it has become an EDC pistol, I found I had few Commander-size holsters. Government model leather works fine, but is a little long. So this weekend I hit the jackpot...
Thanks! Can you explain that to my wife - she disagrees.
I've actually got two pair in the Classifieds right now if anyone is interested (not any of the ones seen here).
Doing some work in the closet yesterday afforded me an opportunity to take some photos and also ask myself how I got so many pairs of boots?? (these do not include work, hunting, etc.) I also see that the photos do not look as good they did last night (better glasses at work?), but you get the...

Gus-style Western Hat. Purchased new from American Hat Company in open crown then shaped by Texas Hatters (who claim to have made the hat for the movie) and also had them add a Gus/Lonesome Dove handmade rawhide band. Size 7-3/8 Long Oval (but fits my 7-1/2 head comfortably), silverbelly in...
Resistol Stockton “straw” western hat – size 7-3/8 Long Oval. Worn 3 or 4 times and is like new condition. Band replaced with a horsehair tassel band. Crown is 5” tall with a 3” brim. Fits like a true 7-3/8 (a little snug on my 7-1/2 head). Asking $50.00 shipped in the U.S.
Mallory straw fedora – size 7-1/2. This hat was advertised on ebay as “black,” but it is dark green with a matching green ribbon. It was a vintage NOS uniform hat with a center crease. Rather than return it, I decided to try and reshape the crown into a teardrop, which came out well, but it...
Panama hat with Optimo crown. Purchased online a couple of years ago – very nice hat, very lightweight. Cloth sweatband and removable black ribbon band (I may have some other bands if I can find them). Crown is 4.5” tall with a 2.75” brim. Size is not marked, but I ordered it to fit me at...

I carried and qualified with a Model 60 for years, and it was nice to shoot, but my current 642 is exactly as you describe - a beast. My off-duty/back-up is now a 3" 1911 in .45 ACP - ten times more pleasant to shoot than the 642. And from what I remember, .44Mag is nicer than the 642.
The Naval officer in full dress on the far right appears to be wearing the rare "Tiffany Cross" - an alternate version of the Navy Medal of Honor awarded for non-combat heroism that was in use from 1917-19.
