The Naval officer in full dress on the far right appears to be wearing the rare "Tiffany Cross" - an alternate version of the Navy Medal of Honor awarded for non-combat heroism that was in use from 1917-19.

Great stuff, B... thanks for sharing these. Those Westinghouse caps show working gear that could be modern issue. The dramatic lines and jaunty profiles we have come to covet from staged actor head shots of the era are nowhere to be seen.

The two guys with shotguns on the hopper cars are most likely Strike Busters 1920s - 30s.
