yeah I got rid of anything that was pretty circumstantial, i.e., I can only wear with these pants or these shoes or whatever. Life is too short and I got enough crap in the house LOL. Went from about 30 jackets to about 18 now if you count my c3 vest and the incoming FL sometime next year...
I know it's what we do around - OBSESS - LOL. But that jacket is awesome for 99.9998% of the people out there. As a racer, you can get away with a tighter fit so long as you're on the slim side. A half size bigger wouldn't hurt, but it's also not end of the world. But I know the feeling...
thank you, thank you. Yes, I wasn't worried at all opening the box about the sizing. If you follow their procedure, it would be pretty hard to mess up. Especially with the sheep as there is a lot of give even if you go too tight. Most of my curiosity and rush to open was about how green is...
that worn brown looking one looks amazing. The shot of the green next to the blue is pretty close to color representation of the green (at least on my screen) Maybe a touch more pine needle green.
thanks!!! It's only in the bright sun where it gets really really green. Indoor light and cloudy it's within range of where I wanted to be. I'm not going to mess with it for several months, see what happens. But I think a shade or two darker is more in my wheelhouse.
D-day. Got my lightning yesterday. I'll put up some fancier IG shots next week once I get some wears on it. But just to give you all a taste.
Leather - as everyone has said is spectacular. Brg sheep. Very soft and pliable yet tough. Just a dream. Definitely more pine tree green vs...
I said it before. Knowing what I know now, I'd have about 4-5 thedis, Cal, Schott Perfecto, couple of FLs, and LL and call it day. I do love the Aero Ridley though. So maybe one of those too :D
It is spectacular. I can't justify having an Aero B3 and this one living in Los Angeles. I'm afraid I'll take a big loss on my B3 since it was altered and there were a couple of little sloppy errors. Nothing drastic but we tend to be nitpicky around here. Otherwise, I'd be selling that and...
Very nice!!! I'd say late 60s/early 70s. The ones with gussets tend to be newer (like 70s and up), but then they have the tear drop talons which are more 60s. So I'll split the difference LOL.
Ive seen different batches of Vic on here do different things. The one I have from maybe 2 years ago has had at least 3 owners and has gotten a ton of wear, and I don't see a spec of brown or even a "warm" glow. Meanwhile I remember someone posted a photo of an almost brand new one in a truck...
well said. And I'm going to take the contrarian view on the length to a few of the posts above. I will go so far to say that it's long, but it's not end of the world long imo. I fell into the it needs to be shorter trap when I first got on these boards and ended up buying a handful that were...
another LOL. I remember a while back a few mentioned Leather Man. The number of hits wasn't the issue in that search so much. You really had to narrow it down to find jackets.
LOL, I remember that. Imagine the discussions. Kind of like Corona beer nowadays. Imagine all the effort, dollars, time to market and then your name gets tagged with some medical catastrophe. There's been funny more racier examples as well, but I won't go there
the frozen solid in ice test. So that's where those tech flashlight guys got that idea from. How about FQHH test with truck running over it??? Need that to seal the deal.
Need to thin the closet some more.
There's several hundred page thread on what and what not 5* is, so I don't want to oversell this. Imo, it's a very high end mall jacket on the leather and other materials, but right up there with the mid tiers as far as construction.
This was inspired by...
Ever since they rolled out the ads several months back, there's been some optimization issues for sure. Several times a week the site doesn't even load up for me. But it's all good. That's a good trick to know about the wifi click on/off.
that's nice. always been a sucker for these cold weather jackets with shearling, etc. A lot of restraint has to kick in every time I see those Aero Redskins and some of those Eastman Irvings. And the RMC and Toy McCoys stuff, forget it. I could buy them all--B3, D1, B6, etc etc But this...
