assuming you're near a major city center, 2 days best case, 3 worst. Just make sure you check to see if you get dinged for import duties because they won't deliver until you pay. I got nailed for $70. Not sure if it's a state by state thing, but California wants their money.
spot on I think. It's somewhere in one of my posts, but I believe Star Glove was rebranded to Cal Leathers in 1948 after they got the LAPD contract. I'd have to confirm this, but it's pretty safe bet that any Star Glove you see is going to be pre 1948 and the bulk of them are probably 46-48...
So, before the bourbon boom started, maybe 15 years ago or so, you could walk into a Bevmo and buy a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle or Stagg for lie $70ish dollars. I happened to buy a few of each. They're now worth about $5k more or less. I still have a couple bottles of each. From time to...
Sweet Jesus 10 Talon Zippers 20 Brass Front Separator With Brown Tape | Etsy If a few of us want to go in on this, I'd partake. Can probably dye the brown to black.
I think a lot of us would do things differently if we knew then what we know now. Not just jackets :)
probably worthy of it's own thread, but something I learned was if I really wanted a particular jacket, then just get that jacket. Beating around the bush ended up costing me more in the long...
countdown 6 weeks before I can post in the 50 years and over thread LOL. I can't wait. Bring it on.
All my cross zips are heavier except as you said the Vic Ridley, which I also have. It could be a psychological thing, maybe in a racer, straight zip, etc. I wouldn't feel the same. But yeah...
OK, one and only price reduction. Hate to have it sit in a drawer until my kids get old enough to wear, but it's too nice of a jacket to just give away. $140 ppff conus shipping included.
If putting on a leather jacket doesn't make you feel like a bad ass, then what's the point? So I agree. The LL checks off a lot of boxes for me and definitely has me wondering had I bought this earlier in my journey how everything else would have played out. I also agree with Marc too that I...
great to know about the Bronco. I've got a slimmer cut A2 style coming this week that I hope fits. Otherwise I'll be on the look out for one of these. Much more stylish than what you usually see. Reminds me of the Band of Brothers look which I think were RMCNZ jackets.
Imitation is the biggest form of flattery, but not with the jackets. I'll take a Ton goatee prosthetic and a Theodoros wig to go please. Then there's no stopping me.
Yep, that gave me inspiration for when I had my Schott Rancher trucker from the 80s. There's a thread on here about it as well. It had a stain I couldn't get out and was overall too small anyway. But the tub wash did wonders. And I think I used some shampoo as well, or maybe the Angelus...
Yo GW. The Vic leather has a little bit of give, not much though. Since there's no gussets or action back, it's pretty true to size. I have a 42 in Vic and it's just on the edge of maybe being too tight for me with (22 ptp 41.5ish chest size). Definitely tshirt only. The CXL I have is 44...
speaking of prices. Get ready for some increases. Really noticed across the board price hikes at the grocery store today, and not just a little ones. I can't imagine that leather jackets aren't going to get impacted at some point. If price of meat is up 30%, jeez.
