Unexpected discovery =
In removing the liner in order to "reblock" this crown, I discovered that the liner is glued to the inside top of the crown.
Although the liner has no plastic cover on the inner crown portion where the company crest is, there seems to be something similar stitched to...
It was waiting on me when I got home on the front porch.
What was spec'ed = "Those proportions are perfect = 4.5" Open Crown, 3" Brim."

Akubra Fed4 is rabbit fur felt, not beaver.
Lots of hats are made for rain, like Filson, but I go with a beater western or an Akubra (they seem to love the wet).

Not really understanding the bulge in the brim edging in the back & looks like 2 places of over-stitching with white threads?
Same thing on the Justified brim edge?
We wore field jackets & fatigues from the Army surplus & added patches when in high school & college. To us it was tribute like wearing a jersey for the home team.
Bought from both Hats Direct & EA and been in custom orders from both with excellent results. Have done the 3 month wait too. EA has better prices on shipping but the longer wait time. Worth it sometimes.
Your profile could take a tighter pinch for the crown, looks a little too blunt IMHO.
Brim looks more "drover" now, sort of in line with a Squatter or CEO model Akubra.
Bet the Stetson was a stunt hat, one of those wool Marshals they started selling after the show became a hit.
