I can only speak to the jacket I have in my hand and compare it to similarly priced jackets that I also have in hand. What I paid for them is not relevant since they all cost about the same new. My Avro is in line with my 3 RMCs. Leather quality is about equal. Stitching, edge to RMC...
There's no doubt Dave brought a lot of this on himself with the brash statements, POV, poor big picture thinking, etc. lets get that out of the way first.
But there's a lot of extra salt in these posts. Don't know how many of us would react if something bad we did at work was publicly...
thanks, man. That JH1 was a total unplanned sleeper and now it's probably in my top 2 or 3.
Definite difference in the leather used. Obviously both shinki and teacore, but the JH1 is an oily finish. Lots more grain. The J100 is more top coat heavy. I showed the jackets to Theo (owner of...
Been trying to wear mine more than the rest of my jackets because it's a bit of a beast to break in. shoulders are starting to settle, getting some good grain pop and just starting to soften some. But boy those arms are tight and borderline uncomfortable especially around your elbow and the...
wow. I had one very similar to this that I also bought from a gentleman in Australia. Think it was horsehide though. At this price point, you can't go wrong. People prob afraid of the quilting thinking it's not their style or too biker or whatever, but when I had mine, the overall feel of...
Here's some more specific info since I've had a couple people ping about the details:
Size Medium
Ptp 22.5
Shoulder just under 18
Sleeve around the bend 27 incl knit
Back 25 w/ almost 2 inch front drop incl knit.
And some additional shots. Color I'd describe as a matte black with some...
10% off next order is non starter and quite disappointing. For my own personal metrics, I would have felt better about 10-20% refund or something like that (similar to a factory second or b grade product). Maybe throw in a free hat too : ) Not the ideal resolution by any means, but better imo...
Right on, Carl. I enjoy your content. You and Albert have cost me a few bucks LOL. Keep putting stuff out there. Lots of people seem to be in labeling mode. I'm semi retired and posting my thoughts about fashion, so what more cred do I have than you? At least you got a job LOL. Bottom...
for sure. Here you go. Both are tagged Large.
Faded:

Bottom Hem 20.5
Shoulder 20.5

There seems to be a few camps here.
1. I think we all fall in this camp (don't recall anyone arguing otherwise) is that the jacket that started this post is not good and does not represent a high end jacket and/or a brand that seems to boast about its high quality.
2. another camp has spoken...
Interest check on this one. Can provide more details if I get some pings. Another beautiful jacket that just sits in my closet. Not totally motivated to sell this one, so will be pretty firm here given how killer it is and rare. Lots of info on this write up...
hey there. No, they're more like the original spec. I think the side pockets came in the late 70s or early 80's. It's pretty much the lee 101j with a touch longer length and a touch slimmer sleeves.
Last bump and then these going into the pile for my very fortunate sons (assuming they just don't hang out around the house in sweatpants all day) LOL.
