less than 5 weeks ago i found this M65 parka in size L which - based on the fact it belonged to a SEABEE can also be rated as a deck-jacket
the SEABEE emblem...
Very early "BOB DONG" deck jacket in the short version with hooks - the color is totally off such almost bright blue garment was never issued during and shortly before wartime
quality of the jacket is OK anyway - the liner is artificial fur even though originals had a blanket-like wool liner...

Since original N1s are pretty hard to find in decent condition and matching my size i started getting more and more interested in any postwar solutions or predecessors of the famous N1.
The A2 Deck Jackets can still be found in a very reasonable price range and their variety is pretty high due...
Out of couriosity i also tried a deck jacket from "At The Front" - a supplier which is usually "top notch" with his equipment ...
I was pretty disappointed with the quality though - the lining / artificial ALPACCA looked more like a teddybaer rather than anything else been used in WW2

This is a very early BRONSON version in the correct shade of bluish grey - almost black - weight and consistency of the fabric is almost 100% to the original - i own period "NOS" (new old stock) BIBs which compare - see pics
Even the stencils - which ain't white on the originals - are pretty...

I like the PB one for it's more roomy cut. Simply more conveniant. Also craftmanship as far as my impression goes is...

on "Deck Watch" today (Walking the Dogs) wearing RedWing Iron Rangers, vintage USN "Bell Bottoms" - watchcap is manufactured by BOB DONG and the A2 served on SSBN 622 USS "James Monroe" (Lafayette Class Submarine)
Saturday was "Indigofera Day":
jacket, pants as well as the RedWing "Climbers" all same manufacturer, respectively boots are limited Edition out of coop with RD and INDIGO
pants are Hickory striped Grey/black (hard to see on the pics) and jacket is brushed Cotton
RedWing Spirit lake - only down on These boots is they are available in full sizes only - so if you are a 11.5 like me you Need to go with the 12 (tried the 11 but too small)
Other than that splendid boots
Today is A1 day - my first day back into the Office since a couple of weeks - not yet a full restart but some important issues
Jacket is made by BRONSON - it's their largest size 44 and fits remarkably well although i'm usually more a 46 guy
