It sure is nice to look at and wear. I really wished it had a regular collar like yours too at first but then again I think im liking cafe racers more now. Thank you again.
my thinking is it fits too great and I don't want to outgrow the jacket as I've already gained 10 lbs since the pandemic...
Viberg brown oiled horse butt today.
@Robbie79 not sure if it's the same as the red brown but this is plenty red in real life and looks red on photos too
I've had this brown full aniline cafe racer for a year now, the Leather seems to have darkened a shade and only had minimal stretching in the chest. It's not good in the wet, it warped the hand warmer and lower third of the main zip tape. Should have sized up and made the sleeves longer but I...
have you worn this pair a lot? mine doesn't look like that (yet anyways) but I haven't really put miles on my boots so that's not saying much.
I hope @dudewuttheheck or anyone can chime in and explain what could have possibly happened here.
good thing you got the oiled red brown, their stock was running low and you probably got the last one. that also works that it matches with your deadleaf brown caboose. no problem at all, I was told it's about 2-2.2mm thick so it's not the thickest leather so better to select the thickest hides.
thats very kind, much appreciated and thank you kindly. i tend to stick with patterns and designs I feel/kinda know works best for my body type/height. I'm sure if I try out a long half belt/car coat or the like would probably not work for me since I'm short.
I also had to bring my cxl jacket...
what ever happened with your Onderhouds? I also have the black Maryam horse butt, it does feel a little thinner compared to my black service boots from Truman though but other than that I haven't noticed any issues on mine.
that's a real nice leather, I love the oiled horse butts from shinki...
thanks brother. it took a couple of jackets to get to this stage and being local certainly helped so there's that benefit of an initial/final fitting to get everything dialed in like with what you do with your local leather worker. I feel you have to be very specific with JL and mention you want...
you got me lol only ever saw people wear them on film but it sure does look cool. great way to scratch that itch off for sure, this one looks like a keeper piece.
damn it's that warm huh haha it's definitely going to be overkill if I get one considering my local climate. it does look nicer to...
thanks man, JL did well with making it look part of the original design. although the offer to remake the jacket was also given to me, I felt the jacket already moulded to me well that it would be a shame to get a new one made.
yes JL did apply something on the surface for an added gloss, the...
@Canuck Panda i think that came out just right, looks great on you and maybe the hem and sleeves will fill in better once your fully layered up. great pick up! the fur looks cozy and the leather looks premium for sure. So do you just add an extra 2" on top of your regular key measurements? So...
hmmm I think it adds a certain appeal if it shows some browning on the elbow/forearm/cuff/shoulder area but those take years of heavy wear before they actually start to happen.
these jackets are chrome tanned not veg tanned and looks like one jacket has seen more wear than the other but it's...
Just updating the thread on the black Masaye HH jacket. The jacket remains a favorite and very easy to wear on a daily. It's very dense and there is barely any give to it or any apparent change in measurement in the torso (even my full aniline shinki and black teacore shinki jacket stretched...
that's good to know that it can be had and not break the bank. I don't knock on fashion brand boots its just most of the style I see them make is most of the time too formal looking for how I wear my clothes but I quite like that Prada that you shared (it's not too pointy lol). I also don't...
advanced congratulations, I hope it will fit you well. I think maybe another consideration aside from the core color is how the leather actually wears but if it's similar in graining/weight/texture/finish/stiffness then it's all really visual and more importantly personal preference if you want...
