Wayfarer update: bloody DHL managed to outfox me. I unavoidably had to go out for 20 minutes at lunchtime. Rushed back to the house and just as I was unlocking the front door, my phone buzzed with a 'We missed you' text. Aaaaargh. It's going to be arriving tomorrow morning now. Delayed...
I've been to Burg & Schild, which is kind of son-of-Son-of-Stag. Wasn't blown away, but it's just off Alexander Platz so it's easy to get to and worth a visit.
It is! But I'm told this was down to a bit of a clerical error as a result of me going to the factory rather than anything else. But, hey, I am not going to complain! We're just getting the nicer weather, so it's just in time to start working on the jacket's 'tan'...
Why did you ask for extra large pockets? My experience is that the standard ones are pretty deep. Personally, I abandoned them after my LHB and have never looked back.

I nailed down the details For my Wayfarer at Aero yesterday. Ken showed me the fantastic ‘raw’ Italian leather they now have - much paler than the Vicenza, with a more pronounced grain. It’s going to be an adventure wearing this one but it’ll have real potential for it developing a really unique...
Talking of Chinese makers, I took my non-stock prison stripe top out today, really nice weight and quality - early Scottish springs tend to hang on to winter's hard edge. I can see myself returning for more of this stuff. It's not Real McCoy standard, but for the money, the designs and quality...
