As far as I'm aware, Andrew has withdrawn to the sanctuary of the Irivn and A-2 Facebook pages he runs. I think there was a spat on the VLJ that ended with him quitting the forum, and he never had very much time for the Lounge, so it probably wasn't much of a hardship to let it go.
It does darken, though nowhere near to the same extent as the raw leather. The Vicenza starts off as a more honey-esque colour compared to the clotted cream of the raw. But it's got a top coat, which I think limits the effect the elements can have on it and the amount of change you'll get.
It's a bit softer, I suspect because it hasn't got a top coat, but equally dense. I've not worn mine out yet, the weather here has been pretty chilly, but it's looking good for this week. Looking forward to watching the colour change.
Oh, and I would go with the raw or Vicenza over the Horween...
Two and a bit years, I think. It arrived in September last year. By all accounts, it's a beaut: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/good-wear-a-2-dubow-20960-contract-pic-heavy.94635/
I've got an Aero depot respray on order. Probably won't see it before the end of this year, but I've got...
Has to be said, by now anyone who is a member of this forum knows the state of play with Good Wear. You pay your money and you make your choice. Personally, I love my Dubow, it's a work of art and the pleasure I get from wearing it will last far longer the memory of the palaver getting it in the...
As a reporter covering the street party for more years than I care to remember, I used to layer up so heavily for the event that I looked like the Michelin Man!
Honestly, I try not venture north of Aviemore, at the most, between October and April. I still have memories of trying to dig the office transit van out of a snow filled ditch in the teeth of a snow storm. Pitch black, snow whipping me in the face while I hacked at the ice, and my friend, who...
That's the thing about Scotland. Even when the sun is out, it's rarely ever really that warm! I've been caught out in London a few times: left a chilly April Glasgow dressed appropriately, arrived in beautifully warm weather, immediately regretting my choice of jackets... It's like taking a...
Right, fit pics! Apologies for the delay. Weather was horrendous and then my computer went into a massive sulk for the whole weekend. Anyway, here you go. It's finally warmed up here, so hopefully I'll be getting some wear shortly and the project can begin...
Basically, this is like sitting at a restaurant table and speaking to another person in a language that no one else sitting at the table speaks, it's poor form. If I was you, I'd use the DM function to speak to the other person. Otherwise, Google's translator function is your friend.
