    ‘Slim Fit J106’ direct from Aero - Denny explained that the Ridley name technically only applies to the slim fit 3 pocket model that Thurston sells (though I suspect the pattern is the same).

    Opinions on tapered belt length button up jackets

    I’ll add that the Rockafella has a a more hourglass taper - narrowing at the waist and then coming out a little at the hips. It’s a shorter jacket, but this sort of taper would work well on something a bit longer.

    I have these in a brown tie domain and agree. These were my first engineer boots. Having very wide feet, I didn’t have many options at the time, but I had not anticipated how clunky and overbuilt these would be.

    Cross Zip wiggle room/extra room

    I go +1” in the chest p2p (37.5” chest, so I spec a 39.5” chest) and +.5” at the opening when measured over a belt (ie, I’m 33” measure over a belt so I go for 34” on a jacket). My next cross zip will be a tad slimmer than this - but I plan to wear it over a tshirt and open all the time.

    Advice Aero Leather 30s Half Belt

    Looks pretty good to me. The low waisted skinny jeans aren’t helping though - it’s a short, 1930s pattern that was designed to be worn with higher waisted jeans/trousers.

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

    This last works for me, so I’m thinking I might order a pair of jodhpurs or zip-side boots in the same last at some point - would be a little more ‘office appropriate’ and versatile in being able to fit under slimmer trousers.
