I love these, but a bit afraid they’ll be short for me. I’m pretty reliably a 10D or 10E in Alan Edmonds. Where in NNJ are you? Maybe I could swing by during my commute one day.
Hi Ethan,
That’s almost surely a vintage hat based on the shape of the crown, so unlikely you’ll find an exact copy in the current Dobbs catalog. But that’s why this place exists. I have a late 1950s brown Dobbs with a wide black ribbon. I think the brim on mine is 1/8-1/4” narrower, but...
Bump. This is a catch and release for me. Just a bit too small to wear on the bike, and I don't wear leather jackets much off the bike. If you missed it the first time, here's your chance.
$600 shipped in the Continental US. I can provide lots more pictures.
Excellent. I have Feather-brand razor blades, so that ought to work. And I do hunt grouse, too, so I could use those, instead. BTW, which is the wrong end of Nebraska? I travel to Omaha for work frequently, and it's a great town.

Thanks. One benefit of upland hunting is that it makes hat collecting seem very cheap. That’s my only hat with a feather so I decided to go big, but it’s best not to think of the price per feather, ha.
I don't have any moc-toe workboots, but I have a pair for upland hunting -- triple-vamp Russell Birdshooters in brown Weather Tuff leather, Vibram Newporter sole, on the Munson last. They are not terribly handsome, but they are great for a day in the field.
I often wear a tweed sporting jacket when I shoot sporting clays and five stand. So I can confirm that wearing tweed in nature is possible. On a more serious note, you might consider adding a button on the lapel opposite the lapel buttonhole/boutonniere so you can button the jacket up the...
My winter boots are Jörn boots, made in Jörn, Västerbotten, northern Sweden by a two- or three-person factory that supplies the Norwegian and Swedish military and outdoor enthusiasts. They are constructed with a 3.5mm closed-cell rubber last, Vibram Izalco soles, and a single layer full-grain...
