It's the second half of the phrase "So long and thanks for all the fish" which is what the dolphins say when they leave earth before its destruction in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It basically means he's leaving snd being melodramatic about it.
Here are some pics of my late 40s-early 50s Buco J22 short model. It's a 20" Back on a size 40. Love how it fits me. Thanks again to @jeo For helping me look over it and discussing pricing eith the dealer. Couldn't be happier with this jacket.
I've been looking for a D pocket for a while and...
Yeah and especially after seeing a less rare, worse condition, later edition J22 that would be too long go for several hundred more on yahoo auctions, I feel even better about the price.
Wore the jacket today and felt like a million bucks in it. The only jackets ive felt this good in overall...

The marketing for Fine Creek is so overwhelming that I saw someone recently (a regular person, not a store owner) basically say that the boomers on TFL hate on Fine Creek a lot.
The idea of "if it's made in Japan, it must be good" line of thinking is so incredibly strong in the raw...
I only use shoe trees for dress shoes/boots. I prefer to have the creases actually be visible in my casual boots. I just make sure to rest my boots at least one day before wearing them again and I brush and clean them consistently.
