Very thorough review. I enjoyed reading it. I also like how the changes in this model such as fhe white zipper tape make the jacket look more modern and have a unique feel. It's not for me, but I like it anyway.
The Fine Creek jackets that aren't leather versions of fabric or denim jackets tend to just have really weird or arguably just straight up bad patterns. That's the main reason why they're a controversial brand on here. I'm not a fan.
Two more 30s/40s (probably both 40s) wool sports jackets on their way to me. Both thanks to this forum in some way.
Green one is Sportclad and the red/black is Montgomery Ward.
the Sportclad was posted in finds and deals by Shivman and Jeo tagged me in time for me to grab it. The MW was listed...
Sorry! I couldn't pass this up and it seems to be exactly my size.
Thanks! That is very helpful.
Yeah I'm definitely glad you're about a size smaller than me. Thanks again!
@ragtime_joe thanks for posting
@jeo Thanks for tagging me. Couldn't say no at such a low price with that coupon even with the zipper issue. I think I can get someone to sew it up a bit near the bottom so the zipper tape doesn't tear more.
I would go with a sports jacket- straight zip or cross zip honestly. A straight zip would stand out less.
There are many examples of guys back in the day wearing leather sports jackets with ties and the 1930s-50s (far superior) equivalent of business casual.
You don't need the tie, but I...
Agreed. I can't possibly see lamb being a good choice for boots. Calf would obviously be better, but if they want to be exotic and still make a durable choice, they could go Kangaroo or Camel leather as well.
