Hi from Montreal.
I have been told that many times here hehe. Quite the envy, I've always known I had a small head but I'm a small person (well I'm average according to Wikipedia) who knew that would play to my advantage! As soon as I came on this forum, I acquired 3 Stetsons very quickly and I...
I posted this in the Gannon thread since I just got my Gannon bespoke hat this week.

This is what I wore yesterday, been wanting to wear this outfit for a while!
I wonder if that's really what makes them softer. I thought it was the quality of the actual beavers in Europe VS North America and/or how dense they make them at the factory but everything leading up to the pre-pouncing might be quite the same and the difference is the factory finish...
I wanted to get one from him after getting the sample kit and seeing how soft the felt was, even the rabbit one! But he wasn't as responsive and his felt colors were very limited.
I'm thinking it's the felt that they get there, it's just a better tighter felt that makes the end product just perfect. Because the craftsmanship I've seen throughout the hatters on the lounge is that it's good. Once you got the technique but beyond that, it's the felt. I mean it's 2 parts...
Oh boy not yet, I hope. I have 6 now in total, went from 1 > 6 in under a year and have spent ~ 1600$ on hats which I know is nothing here but this is an expensive hobby! And I do love quality over quantity so I'm hoping just a few that I absolutely love will be enough. If I get something else...
I love my Stetsons but I feel like this is really more something that will be rotating around more often with my wardrobe eek. It's funny every time I get a new hat I'm like this is my new favorite haha
It took a lot of adjustments and a lot of last minute changes and me being not sure about...
Just got my first Gannon!
the felt quality is good but not the best (I'm comparing to the swatches I got from Hornskov, but FEPSA European felt and he had very limited color selection) VS American Winchester. This isn't a comment on his craftsmanship, just an observation, I was told it's...
This is so old but Hornskov

I got a sample kit from him, the felt is AMAZING. European felt is something else. Prices are very decent as well.
What are people's thoughts on cleaning products for their hats?
Saw the Bickmore foaming cleanser and the Bickmore guard product.
Also brushes (I've seen a brush with light hairs for light hats and dark hairs for dark hats).
But I assume for dust you'd only need to use some tape to lift it...
Just got this lovely vintage 1930s Stetson in the mail yesterday, got it off Alan. Almost flat (which is my preference for a 3" brim) but it's got a subtle curve up and I'm going to leave it as is for now because I'm kind of digging it.
I'm in love already. A tad tight but I think once it...
Are hats with an underwelt brim (I think it's called that, where the edge is folded under itself and sewn) mainly done on cheaper wool hats to keep the structure and make it more rigid?
From what I've seen and gathered here, hat brims are either ribbon treated, raw edge or rarely overwelt and...
I love that you're posting great ebay finds on here! I don't seem to have the ebay searching prowess as other loungers here. Maybe for the better because $$$
