That would be awesome if so! I tried putting that in Google and wasn't able to find anything. I don't know if silk is a silk company or they were called silk? Unfortunately, he can't help me. I wrote to 2 other watchmakers in Canada, I'm really hoping someone in the world can help with this. His reply was: "Unfortunately this is not a repair that I can make on this model. Sorry that I can not help you on this occasion." I wonder why- JessieJames

other than the thickness difference though, for me it's the tightness look and feel of the felt that make a difference for me. I don't want to see uneven patches nor feel it. I'm curious to know how the craftsmanship of Tatton is, because he's probably using Winchester- JessieJames

Do you have any Gannons? how does it compare to that one? Tatton seems to be a true hatter in the sense that he has the history and has a lottttt of the fancy tools which doesn't necessarily mean better, but could.- JessieJames

that's why I abandoned with him, he didn't answer early on. Same with Hornskov although I wish I continued because he has that FESPA felt! My next one will be with Hornskov or likely, Hufvud who has been very easy to talk to and responsive.- JessieJames
