"Vintage" foods that are still with us today.
My sister lived there for a while. We found a good place for food but and the duck is especially good. My friend said the food is Taiwanese and Cantonese. I haven't been in almost a year now. Hopefully it hasn't changed. It's called Oriental Garden and its on Elizabeth Street. Barry- Barry

My post is somewhat off topic but this thread makes me wish I had some pictures of my grandparent's old clothing store. Yep, that's it. The "seal" or whatever it would be called between the edge of the folded over part meets the rest of the brim of the hat is very, very smooth. I just might pick it up. Barry -

I would say the edge was folded over but it's much nicer than that. It's not stitched, that's for sure. It's almost rolled back over onto the felt and it's very smooth almost like a little bump in the felt. Barry -

Did Brooks sell fedoras with a Cavanagh Edge? I've only seen pictures of the Cavanagh edge, sad to say. I am down in Georgetown now and came across one. It's 7 1/8, short brim and it is grey with a black sweat. The edge looks like one to me based on the photos I've seen. They are asking $45... -

Rotating Out
I accidently dropped mine on my hardwood flooring. It rolled right on the edge of the brim and the hat carved a two foot scrape in my beautiful Kahrs cherry floors. Just kidding :) -

"Vintage" foods that are still with us today.
The Lock Ober There's a restuarant in Boston called the Lock-Ober. They have little "vintage" menus that you can pick up and take home - at least they did several years back. It has changed hands some time ago. I guess if we ever have a FL event in Boston the Lock-Ober would be on the list...- Barry

Mod R&B A few of my favorites are the Steampacket (iTunes gave them a harsh review) and Chris Farlowe. Chris Farlowe was great! Check out the Chris Farlowe 60's R&B Years CD. I also like the Action and the Creation. Voodoo! :) A somewhat recent Mod band? The Loved Ones, no doubt. Barry- Barry
