Some classic Canadian commercials feature the Caramilk chocolate bar, and the advertising slogan "How DO they get the rich creamy caramel inside the Caramilk bar?".

This is a well-known version to this day, though not seen on tv probably in 25 years or more:

Another Caramilk classic, my favourite, and apparently the only Canadian commercial to ever win a Clio award (it was also a winner at Cannes, apparently):

1971 was a very good year for Hot Wheels! Many of the "Redliners" (1968-77 vintage Hot Wheels) that are the most sought after by collectors came out that year. Particularly the Classic Cord, Beach Bomb ('69 VW bus), and the S'Cool Bus -- all of which can be seen in the commercial. I'm looking for a Snake and Mongoose, preferably still in the original blister card. I had the blue Mongoose II from 1973. Sadly the remnants of my childhood Redliners were such beaters that decided to start all over and I sold them to a friend some ten years ago. I just recently acquired a Classic Cord, something that I didn't even have when I was a kid.
This comes under the old Dirty Harry move line, "I gots to know," what does a nice Snake & Mongoose go for these days?

Based on the completed auctions on eBay, I'd say an original loose Snake or Mongoose in Near Mint to Mint condition would be in the $50-100 range. A pair of Snake and Mongoose cars in the original blister cards and signed by Tom McEwen and Don Prudhomme recently sold for $550. On a more affordable level the Snake and Mongoose were also reissued in the 1990s and they can be had for $10-25 each.

EDIT: I still have my old Mongoose II redliner! :)

Long Version Breitling

The Breitling commercial apparently went over so well, they now have a longer version. Got to love it, beautiful women, beautiful airplane, and a beautiful bike. I will leave it up to the ladies in the forum to decide if the man is beautiful!
