I think back east it was something speacial as Coors was hard to get, you needed connections of some sort. Out west it was just one of many other brands.

Hmmm, conflicting info. That article states that generic Beer was brewed by Miller. I actually remember reading on the can that it was brewed by Falstaff.

It seems like it may have been brewed by a variety of manufacturers. I vaguely remember my dad telling me that you could look on the can to see what kind it was.
