Before this thread gets too off topic, Scottrace & I both have contacted Tom on Book face & have informed him of this thread.
I remember my dad drinking his fair share of that stuff when I was growing up. Most of the time his beer of choice was Sterling. I haven't seen either of those in decades.
Schlitz showed up in the fridge often enough, too, and When I was younger, I knocked back my own fair share of it, too. That, and Carling's Black Label. I can't remember the last time I saw either of those either. Or any Old Milwaukee.
Maybe in honor of Tom we should dedicate this thread to all those classic brews that have disappeared from the shelves.
Former Congressman Mo Udall had a great joke about Billy Beer: I sent a sample out to the lab for analysis... Just got the report back... 'Mr. Udall, I'm sorry to inform you that your horse has diabetes.'
I think you mean, "Rocky Mountain Sewer Water!" AKA Coors.
Same thing.
Pearl beer. Wonder if it's still being brewed?
No, one goes through a treatment process to make it less dangerous to the environment.
No, he said it was sewer water. He didn’t say if it was going into or coming out of the treatment plant.
I had Pearl when I was stationed in louseyana...and a beer called Jax. At that time (early '70s) I think they were both more of southern regional beers (both top sellers). Pearl tasted similar to PBR..and Jax like Budweiser to me.

I PM'd Tom on Facebook. Said he couldn't reply here right now because he had a PBR in each hand with his girlfriend on his lap and watching Lawrence Welk.

I am talking about the sewage water.

Of course!
anyone remember Rhilegold, Haffenreffer or Shaefer? Then there was Iron City, P. O. C., Little Kings, Naragansett, Ballentine, Meister Brau, Latrobe, Queen City, Burgers, Duquense, Morlein and Hudepohl...

I am sure Tom would be devastated.
A coughing fit? Must have had a sip of Coors!
