I know it's not very Golden Era of us, but my wife and I have been doing a lot of slow cooker meals lately: meatloaf, stuffed bell peppers, stuffed cabbage, taco soup, hobo stew, even baked mac and cheese. Can't beat the convenience of those one-pot meals, either served alone or with something simple like a side of rice.

As you sift through this thread, you'll see several people don't eat golden era items.
Namely Tom, and mostly because a Rib sandwich from the gas station might not be golden era.
No, strike that.
The sandwich MAY HAVE seen the golden era.
Tom is a brave man...:)

Someday, I'll find a nice gal and I'll get decent meals. Til then, I'll just have to eat garbage and hope not to die.

A nice girl does not necessarily mean a nice cook... and just in case mine is looking - I got lucky :D

It seems more an more young people these days can't cook [even basic stuff], and the skills of our parents and their parents, is no longer being handed down... one for the declining standards thread :p

I hope you do find a nice girl and she can cook Tom :)

For me tonight... a very-very hot/spicy curry:) my wife had.......... beans on toast :D

Nice would be one who can cook. Why get married if you have to still do everything? :p

I am with you Tom, find the right one. :D

I found the right one, but I still do all the cooking. It's better that way, to put it nicely. :)
Mine can cook, but it takes all day.

Tonight, since she's still working, I cooked pork loin slices and Italian sausage.
