Tonight my wife is making salmon quiche. I hot-smoked a sockeye a few weeks ago for dinner, and set aside and froze about 12 oz. of the meat after we were done eating. Tonight is the reward!

Much better than some of the other "Catholic Friday dinner during lent" options ...

Lent!
...I ordered in broiled chicken after the plumbing contractor left.:eeek:

Chicken braised in white wine and garlic... a chance to test run a new to me old E. Dehillerin pan. Cooks nice.

Chicken Rice with cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom.
Lentils
Lamb
Mackerel in saffron and something else
Chicken and Rice pockets, baked not fried. Bigger than a ravioli but not as big as a hot pocket. Really good.
My wife's boss was throwing a party, and he's from Sri Lanka, but spent over 20yrs in England (medical school and practice).
A very interesting guy, he likes hot stuff but spices not so much hot sauce.
