What was your first car...???

Spudman - that is a handsome little fella. I looked up more images on line as I wasn't familiar with it. I really like it. It has a beautiful interior and a real 1960s feel (none of the '70s ugliness). That had to be a really fun car to have as a kid.

Atomic Era Tom: love the '60 Bel-Air. My first car was a '67 Impala Super Sport (that was stolen from a parking lot six months after I started driving it or I might still have it today).

Thanks! It was a very under appreciated car. People always mistook it for an MG, but it actually came out first. The '67 was the sweet spot of the model. It had the most power and didn't get the higher roof line and safety padding that detracted from the classic lines.

The roadster model died so that the 240Z could be born.

My first car was a 1966 Volkswagen bug. Hated that heap. All I wanted to do was set it on fire and pitch it off a cliff. The next person who bought it did the next best thing by wrapping it around a utility pole. She, fortunately was not hurt.
First street motorcycle was a Honda 90cb custom. Loved that bike.

In a way, I wish I still had it.

Cheers!

My father didn't want me to have a motorbike, so I promised him that as a young man, I wouldn't. Didn't say nothing about when I was older. This was a contrived photo, taken at a fifties event about 20 years ago, note the whiskers, and see that leather jacket, well, I can still get into it. Zipping it up is another matter.

1961 Thunderbird that I bought in 1968 for the princely sum of $300. I thought I had a picture of it around here somewhere, but can't find it now.

Edit:

Ran across a picture of that Tbird this morning. Home on leave in 1968 with my new (to me) 1961 Tbird. $300 went a long way in 1968.

This makes me realize just how young I am compared to many others on the forum...
...my first and current car is a 2005 Honda Civic, hahaha!
