I actually did ponder that! How anal am i? I was thinking "How does she wearing lippie with no liner, i would look like Ronald McDonald in minutes if i didn't!

I forgot concealer, ooops, Maybelline Dream Matte concealer. (It's been a long day).

What a good idea for a thread! :)

Eye primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Eyeliner: Benefit Magic Ink
Mascara: Sephora brand mascara in black
Brow pencil: Benefit Instant Brow Pencil in deep
Powder: MAC Blot Powder in light
Lipstick: MAC Baby's On Fire

Nothing changes day-to-day except my lipstick lol If I'm wearing MAC Dubonnet (like in my avatar) or Benefit Flirt Alert, I use MAC Draw Me Close lip liner. It's a neutral shade that works with all lipstick colours, and saves me having to buy 20 different ones.

C-Dot, you've convinced me that I need MAC Dubonnet. ;)

I totally agree with you on neutral/nude lipliner. I have 2 neutral pencils by Aveda & a Trish McEvoy that are practically worn down to the nubs! I have some other mixed colors and I also have a red liner, but I find I rarely use it, even when I do a really red lip.

It's a fantastic colour :) Every time a man approaches me in public, I'm wearing that lipstick. (Really!)

I dislike coloured liners for a few reasons:

a) The saturated pigments tend to make them more waxy than neutral colours, especially with reds, and therefore less effective. If you test a dark colour and a neutral colour of the same brand, I guarantee you'll notice it.
b) They never match up properly (again, especially with reds.)
c) If they do match up properly, it's because they're made by the same line and are the same colour, which means you have to buy the corresponding lip liner each time you buy a lipstick, and not all lines do a perfect match up.

My final and most subjective reason for disliking them: Seeing a woman's lip liner under her lipstick makes me want to attack her with a tissue and a lip brush. The same thing happens to me when I see badly bleached-blonde hair, and I want to submerge them in toner... But that's a different thread... ;)

Nude liner is just so much easier to work with.

I'm on a self-imposed lipstick ban right now... I just bought 5 Julie Hewett Noir lipsticks, Revlon Cherries in the Snow (disliked it), and some other randoms. If you have Aldi stores in your area, check out their Lacura cosmetics line. They have 2 gorgeous red shades - Red Velvet and Deep Red. They're more muted brownish reds, not straight up red. $3.50 each and actually very nice quality!

But....

This thread really is useless without pictures!!! :)

Right now I have no makeup on because I took a shower, but earlier:

MAC Strut eyebrows
MAC nude painterly pot eyeshadow base
MAC Blacktrax eyeliner, winged, on the top lid only
MAC black eyeshadow on the bottom of the eye
MAC coverup on my purple circles and a blotch on my left eyebrow
MAC Haute & Naughty mascara
Physician's Formula dark blue eyeshawdow on my lid
Physician's Formula pink eyeshadow in the crease out towards the eyeliner wings
Physician's Formula lightest blue eyeshadow on the brow bone
L'Oreal "Sugar Coated" white shimmer right under my eyebrows and in the inner corners

I like clown makeup...lol.

I love the sound of your clown make-up Amy Jeanne! :D

An everyday shot of my make-up, same products I listed, but with my favourite Dubonnet lipstick and false eyelashes:

You look lovely C-Dot!! Love the shade of your lipstick... might have to check it out too!

My makeup is very simple and usually very similar from day to day, except maybe for different eye-shadows or whether or not I wear eyeliner, which I don't do as often anymore.
Here's a pic from yesterday when I tried out the makeup I'm planning on wearing for my wedding day in 3 weeks.

concealer - MAC studio finish concealer in NW15 (also used all over the eyelids as a base)
blusher - MAC powder blush in pinch o' peach
eyeshadow - MAC pink freeze (all over eyelid)
eyeshadow - MAC contrast velvet (a deep purple/blue - in the crease and outer corner)
eyeliner - L'Oreal superliner in black crystal
mascara - L'Oreal voluminous in carbon black
eyebrows - an old eyeshadow in dark brown (no idea where from, it's years old!) applied with a tiny brush
lipstick - Rimmel lasting finish in Alarm (I won't wear this on the day, but my favourite Boots No.7 Cherry)

I'm not great at makeup, especially eyeshadow application, so if you have any suggestions please share!! :)

LinaSofia, I think your makeup looks lovely -- especially your lipstick application! Beautiful!

I've just had to throw out all my eyeliner pencils & mascaras because I randomly developed conjunctivitis & blepharitis in one eye. :( Until this is 100% cleared up I'm not wearing anything but chapstick....

LinaSofia, I think you did a great job, you look smashing! :)

I'm sorry to hear about your conjunctivitis, zombi! I contracted it once when I was young, and my father put Polysporin inside my lower eyelid. It was incredibly painful, but it was gone the next day.

Today I wore MAC Bombshell lipstick. Sometimes I feel like pink:
