New to me. Levi's type 3 care of @JCSD. Thanks for your kindness and generosity!
I'll wear the jacket well, wore it for a grocery run already.

that first photo is Ad worthy. What a great shot. Is that an Akubra? Love those. Send the shot to them, they might use it in an ad it's so dang good.
Thank you sir. It actually is an Akubra Fed IV one of my kick around winter work hats. Hadn’t thought about it but fedora and dogs are Australian.
Just a spur of the moment picture. My wife and granddaughter headed into town but Harlow wanted to go see papa first. Maybe I’ll send it to Trudi and Naomi at The Hattery. Thanks for the suggestion.

yep, had a feeling. I've got 2 fed IVs myself from The Hattery. Nice folks for sure. Yours looks like Moonstone. I've got the deeper gray, Carbon I think and one in the Tawny. I do have a Moonstone Bushman though that I absolutely love.

If you on Instagram, you can tag it with #Akubra and they'll probably post it as one of their favs.

Full tuxedo in my blanket lined SExIH type3

And no the jacket isn't enormous on me the length was heightened in this collab. It made it way more functional in cold weather but looks a bit disproportionate in warmer weather. Really like the jacket, though. Surprisingly soft and easy to move in for 23oz denim.

It has been raining for what seems like weeks, and I really need to get out of the house and down to the beach as soon as the sun comes out.
I noticed that my GW Arcadia Shinki has a sort of dark red tone in some light, so I had to match it with my black cherry hat and black cherry boots. OY Vey!

I really like the color of the jacket under the leather jacket, and hearing its moleskin is attractive, im intrigued. I dont know a thing about the brand though in terms of fit, anytime I've looked at sizing on anything from the Japanese Market its been a big no wont work. Cool leather as well. I liked this combo/color

Questions- after your experience with the regular arcadia pocket pattern do you think the way i had the pockets done (more vertical) is more practical? Do you like them better either way? I like the look of the ones I had john do better, personally

Through my thoughtful and planned purchases, along with help from my friends, I am able to show with confidence that California Sportswear Co. made jackets for Sears and Montgomery Ward. Appalachian made jackets for Sears Fieldmaster, Hercules and Oakbrook. Fried Osterman made the Albert Richard labeled jackets and labeled the same jackets as Sears Hercules. Star Glove/Kurland in Boston made MC jackets for J.C. Penney Sportclad. Monarch of Milwaukee made jackets for Sears Hercules going back to the 1930s.

More connections will be made as time goes by and jackets show up.

I know you purchased a Block jacket. They were a nationwide seller of outerwear. I don't have any connections with the Catalog/retail stores yet Ralphs-Pugh jackets were marketed primarily in the West. California Sportswear are sold nationwide also.
With all your research you have to write The US Historic Jacket Book. Hopefully, your publisher will give TFL members a discount price

Great pictures a real cute family. What is that raw brim edge hat you are wearing? I have a 40s Stylepark with similar color, ribbon, and propations made with heavy felt and under welt brim edge
It's an Akubra Federation IV. Pretty much a rip off of the famous Indiana Jones hat. You can buy from hatsdirect.com It comes open crown. I think you can ask them to bash it though. But most people like to make up their own.

Akubra's are amazing. Come from Australia, made for Australian cowboys essentially. So you can imagine the build quality. Best bang for buck hat period, and one of the best hats in general. Like you said, that thick brim will last a life time.

Thank you! Ooe Yofukuten is absolutely amazing. It's a husband and wife team in Japan and their patterns and construction quality are the best I've experienced in terms of cotton garments.

just great, specifically like the colors

Thanks! I love olive green with brown.
