What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

My $37 eBay mystery jacket that I'm convinced is a Lesco arrived, so it's getting some action today. Talon zips, 70s-ish larger collar, sturdy leather, very nice finishing details, including plaid fabric inside the pockets. Not much room for layering, but it's a fun option.

Questions- after your experience with the regular arcadia pocket pattern do you think the way i had the pockets done (more vertical) is more practical? Do you like them better either way? I like the look of the ones I had john do better, personally
The visual line of the vertical pocket that you designed is quite nice, and the double stitching looks great as well. The pocket bag in your design is also quite a bit bigger than on my two-tone, so it could carry stuff not just hands. The feel on each is pretty much the same as your hands rest on the bottom seam. However, the pockets on the two-tone are more at an angle and easier to get your hands in and especially out of. The corduroy lining in the sleeves and bottom hem are a nice touch, and I just love the sound of the Riri zipper, how smoothly the action is, and the rivets make it indestructible. Above all else I really love the shiny oil tanned Shinki leather. Such a nice jacket, thanks for selling it to me. If I ever decide to sell you will get first dibs. Might be faster to get back on JCs queue, but you never know.

I just read about the alterations. I'd be mad if it were me, too. However, from any distance all anyone will notice is an amazing looking, well fitting jacket that looks great on you.

That looks fantastic!

Thank you! I like the outcome, wish they didn't screw up leather but lesson learned at least - gotta find somebody else if I need alterations.

That looks really good to me. Didn't you say earlier that you were suspecting they would screw it up? Are you happy with the alterations?

It looks good now but they messed it up the first time, I've posted a few pictures on the 5* thread. I knew they will have to redo it and I'll have to live with it I guess, it's not visible anyway but I'd preferred to be done without those complications.

It's messed up when you instruct people not to do something specific and they still do it because they think they know better. Love the jacket and how it fits me now and it's not noticeable indeed. Shame that I wanted to send it back to Shawn and I thought eventually I'd be better off trying here. Not going to happen again.

I was gonna just hit the “like” button and leave it at that, but that is absolute jacket nirvana.

Thanks!

I was going to tag you in a post in the "How many new jackets..." thread. You inspired me to take the plunge on an RMC Buco J-24. After seeing your post and how amazing yours fits, I was also thinking that's jacket nirvana right there and much like yourself, that's a jacket that I always loved looking at but was always hesitant buying. I finally found one that was decently priced and in what looks to be really good condition. We'll see when it arrives.
