Really he’s already been told to chill with the Korean/trumpian diatribing, so Jonesy you were 100 percent right to politely ask him to refrain.
Thanks you, but it easy for me to say stuff. I don't live in Seoul. One of the things that I really like about TFL is that we can interact with people from all over the world about something that we all have in common.
There are many ways to try to understand each others perspective, and appreciate that we are all one people, one world.

Uh oh, I'm getting into politics. Oops.

Peace,

Plus, I got some great new sources for cool jackets to look into, when all was said and done.
Thanks again High-maintenance.

I would love to talk politics with you! It’s sad, it is banned here as I think here you can find a great variety of interesting people with even more interesting views and first hand hand insights.
For example the difference in gun control laws between Germany and USA are an interesting cultural and historical topic.

Boy do I digress. I think the thread is "What Jacket Are You Wearing Today".
I wore my cheapest jacket to work today, a real beater. A $90 Gap Trucker. I got more complements then when I wear my $1K plus Shinki ooo la la stuff.

This is the one that I was thinking of over dying black, to get that teacore effect. Maybe I should just leave it alone. :)

As I have said, I love talking politics, economics, religion, all the things that you are not supposed to talk about in polite society, and maybe not on TFL.
If you want to start a real sh#t storm here in the USA, just start talking about the 2nd amendment to the constitution.

Keeping it on track with jackets, I bought a Thedi cafe racer recently with a gun pocket. I really like it a lot, although it turned out to be much more trim than I thought that I liked. I am still learning. It is a really beautiful jacket. I think Thedi should get more cred on TFL.

I read a thread last night where someone asked what those gun pockets were for. Excuse me if I offend anyone, but duh? What do you think they are for? Another very experienced
jacket enthusiast said the he had his jacket tailored to fit his gun.

OK, chicken and the egg. Now that I have a Thedi with a gun pocket, should i buy a gun to fit the pocket, or have another jacket made to fit the gun?
:)

My Thedi is so tight that any Cop would see it immediately. You can do some hard time in CA. for carrying a concealed weapon. But almost everyone is packing in Oakland.

If I was into guns, I wold choose a loose fitting jacket, like a car coat, with high waisted selvedge jeans and a very strong belt. Tuck the piece into my back waist.

But I'm not Into guns. I like knives, but only for cutting food. So what should i put in the gun pocket of my wonderful thedi. Any suggestions welcome.

The reason being these discussions almost never stay civil or polite...I'm personally glad those subjects are taboo here. I'll save my pointless political arguments for folks on facebook...the beauty of this forum is directly related to the fact those subjects aren't tolerated and the fist shaking keyboard commandos don't have a place here.

I couldn't agree more. I sometimes give a sigh of relief when I come home from work and log on to this forum.

Here on TFL we can get to know one another (across all types of borders) without getting tangled up in the web of politics....Love it!

BTW: that pocket is for glasses, a phone, and a pen ;)

My phone isn't shaped like a gun. :) Hadn't even noticed the pen pocket. Thanks.

I do wish we could talk more about rock and roll here, but I know, it deviates into drugs and other naughty things. That's my only complaint. Glad too that politics are not allowed. But it shows that if we can all get along without politics, humans are most certainly capable of going back to this blissful state we exist in here!

More digression. Not politics, musicology. Who did the song s#x, and dr*gs, and rock & roll? 70s references.

I suppose we could PM on subject matters not meant for general consumption, don't know the rules. Then again email can be shared independent of TFL, but I get paranoid. The internet is weird. My moniker (is that what it is called?) is Jonesy86. I bet someone can guess what my last name is. And, yes i have been 86ed once or twice from an establishment selling libations, but that was a long long time ago. :)

Regarding the Thedi “gun” pocket. Despite the gun-like shape stitched on the top of the pocket, the actual pocket is just a normal interior rectangular pocket. At least it was on mine. I always had the impression it’s just a normal pocket with a little extra styling on top.
Don’t overthink it, it’s a pocket.
