Greetings All:

I've only seen this jacket on their Homepage so far.
Looks good and great fit!
How is the quality compared to other manufacturers?
They also have some other interesting jackets.
I think I have to go to Vienna and visit them!

Enjoy!

Well, I really hate to make quality comparisons between makers, because first we would need to establish what exactly is quality....

What I can say about Whitefeather mfg (I have ordered two jackets from them) that Fardin (the man at the WF) is a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. His products, to my experience, are made with keen eye to detail and fit and they’re made of finest materials. The italian horsehide used for this jacket is really top notch medium weight leather...possibly my favorite hh so far!

I honestly think that WF is up there with the best of them and gives very good value for money. Actually, I think that WF might give better value for money than some better known makers that are being discussed here.

I suspect my contributions to this thread will become a bit limited over the next few months.

If I'm riding, it'll be my Daytona (which I massively heart). And if I'm not it'll be my new Type II (which I massively heart), as indeed it is today :

How could you ever doubt this jacket, I can't comprehend. But we've all been thru this at one point or another. Perfect trucker jacket fit.

Best type II I’ve seen. Remind me again, where did you get it from?

Simply amazing. I'm looking at the stitching, robotic precision. Leather is tops too.

Can you remind me, what camera are you using?

Let me add a slight preview to the upcoming review:

Probably my new favourite leather, great character out of the box and super fast grain evo when worn. Also, that curly sheep is something else!
These were shot with a Leica M240 and a 50mm Elmar lens.

Most outstanding Carlos!
The fit is well...a Carlos!
The matching longitudinal grain patterns on those sleeves are going to be an epic evolution.

When it comes to LW, I don't think a few weeks of wear are going to have any profound effect on any of their jackets. Might as well do that review now. :D

The photos are great. I'm asking because a few months ago I had a chance of a lifetime to buy a near new GH4 with a $700 lens for like $150 and I didn't. My reasoning was that I'm not a photographer so it'd be a waste of money and a waste of a perfectly fine camera. It's a decision I regret more than missing out on any jacket ever.

You would be surprised, once you get this leather wet, grain just pops out and it molds to you in no time.
I am going to wear it wet for a couple weeks and post a before/after comparison, get ready for your mind to be blown.

Regarding the camera you can do a lot with a cheap camera...
I sometimes take pictures with a much cheaper D7000, and can get pictures that are just as good if properly edited.

If you want to make your pictures instantly better, use natural light, shoot raw and use a grey card to white balance your pictures correctly in post processing. That will instantly make your pictures better than most you see online.

Sadly, I don't have any camera at all. Just the cellphone and a crappy one... :(
