The jacket is made with seal horsehide (very similar to Eastman horsehide according to John) that was then overdyed with red to give it a hint of burgundy or cordovan. The lining is a heavyweight Harris tweed with rayon in the sleeves.
Fit is pretty close to perfect, especially considering I just unpacked it.
Christmas came early for me this year!

It looks pliable as well, how heavy is the jacket?

I don't have a scale, but if I had to guess it is hovering around the 7-8lb range. It's is still breaking in since it is my size 42 and I use that to layer a bit under, but it is still a pretty soft jacket.

What a color!! Looks great! Please some fit pics

I will have to get some fit pics this week. Maybe even get some of my other jackets as well :)

Tony, most of your BL fits are worthy of the runway. This latest one -- IMHO, not so much. I agree that the time has come for you to aggregate your extensive experience and wisdom to craft an epic, legendary BL that will serve as the benchmark for generations. BTW, such an effort requires a standalone, focused thread.
After spending the day with it I completely agree. Email to Carrie has been sent. 3.0 is underway.

I hope my Cordovan LHB wears in like Ton's- the abraded lines look great. I've had mine for ages and should wear it more.
