Goatskin rocks. I need something serious in it, too. One goat jacket that I have just keeps on giving. But goat is a very excellent beast.

He seems like the kind of guy that's easily the best friend anyone can hope to have. Excellent hound.

Schott "Highwayman" after Sunday breakfast. Same same INDIAN OCEAN sorry 'bout that !

A "car" trip with 81 year old grandmother in tow , a gentle coastal walk after a healthy breakfast.

My daughter on "camera duties". Better at it than me...

I had the "Acai bowl" and afterwards my conscience was as clean and clear as a whistle !

I cant find Pecard locally, and the usual Howard brand (lanolin, beeswax, aloevera) I've been using is not currently available at local Acehardware store atm, they have many other car interior leathercare brands like Maguire's etc. but seems a lot more chemical than natural based and I wont risk it on natural vegtan hide, so i used mink oil and buffed with horsehair brush and it darkens a lil bit and softer too.

Just a Harrington again...

full

Also wearing a Harrington today. The Clash 16 Tons Tour jacket for band and crew. The 1980 “warm-up” tour for the London Calling Tour. Always wanted one Of these badly. The jacket appeared in the Bankrobber music video where two tour crew are wearing them. This past year was the 40th anniversary of London Calling and the jacket was Re-released officially for the public. I purchased the black one, which the material used is a magnet for dog hair. So I bought two, returned one, the other is simply for show. A devout Clash Fan who runs his own clothing store was making cheaper ones for fans, and I purchased one of his, in this maroon color to actually wear around. The 16 Tons Tour got its name from the famous country/folk song of the same name. It was a “protest” song about the nature of work. Made most famous by actor/musician Tennessee Ernie Ford.

“You load sixteen tons, what do you get?
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store”

It's no grail Kehoe, however, this gold label Brooks is still pretty freaking awesome. This series of photos shows the sequence of what face to make for a fit pic, what works and what don't. This leather is very light compared to what we're all used to, but the grain is very akin to my LW. I like nickel hardware on a black jacket too. Brooks cafe racer, looks great, CC - my favorite pattern, leather and maker. It just looks so much more authentic than most expensive and over spec'd repops. The pattern is hard to beat. These Brooks jackets are only about 2.2oz thick and often carelessly stitched with poly lining, but I'd rather have a good one of these than any number of high end reproductions.

Each dry day my riding group head out on the Harleys , north or south , Indian Ocean coast both ways !

The snaps are taken at the coffee/beer stops on the way. I am "semi retired" at 61 , can't afford to be "fully" retired yet !

Many of my riding crew are long retired , several are in their early to mid 70's , one guy is 80 and the oldest is 90 !

You can see the next front due west in the above photo. Can't say we don't get any warning of it coming !
Aha, I thought that was the same ocean time after time.

Agreed. Brooks to me is pretty much a definition of a Cafe racer style. Mine is so chewed up I can't even wear it anymore but only Aero's CR can match how well it fits.
