Rainy day here @ Rock Bottom and I'm bored so I thought I might toss my hat in the ring for Stingymas with my 3X Stetsonian with Selv-Edge. Easily meets the requirements with a 1.5 inch brim.

Danish Freehands were the thing back in college. I have several Ben Wade’s, a couple Preben Holmes, & one Karl Erik.
Im kinda torn.... I love the freehands, but have to admit that Im overly fond of my pile of various old traditional Petersons... Variety is the spice of life lol. I rarely smoke any given pipe more than twice a month ( give them a good rest between sessions)

Being a 4th generation piper (that I know of), I prefer traditional shapes also. And liking English, Scottish, & Oriental blends I prefer bores of .75 - 1”. Give me a traditional pot or billiard & a blend with plenty of perique & Latakia. I’m not much for red Virginia blends so I have some .625 bore stacks that rarely get used.

I do favor larger bowls. My all time favorites are a couple Peterson 606s and a 302 bent. A couple fairly large Billards are a close second place. The vast majority of mine are straight stems... I just wish my Canadians had bigger bowls... I love the look of them. I just love being able to fire up and sit there happily puffing a big pipe for 45 min or more without refilling.

Thanks, guys. I was lucky enough to have Daniele sort me out with two beautiful heathered hats about three years ago. I would venture to say the other one (a Huckel) is the nicer of the two, but this is the one for Stingymas.

Thanks. I’ll have to do a search for Chapeaux Morreton & see if I can find other similarities. I wonder if @Daniele Tanto (who sold me the hat as an unknown) or any of the other of the Lounge’s European crew has an opinion.
Hard to say just by the felt alone, Gary. The ribbon was added on later.

I help Stefan's efforts with another Barbisio, this time in color.

Today I was not very attracted by my daily walk, then the sun and the desire to see the sunlight on the horizon called me.

For the occasion I wore a Barbisio Classic. The finish is "Taupè" and the color is "Argento".

I also found a friend of youth and while walking we told each other anecdotes of another era. It was pleasant.
I temporarily interrupt the series of "Blacks", but I will return soon in the meantime let's enjoy the Barbisio.

Thanks for all your likes and comments. I try to answer everyone.
Fabulous hat, Daniele, and nice Persol glasses too.
