Dang Mike — I thought for sure you were in on it when I saw you give my derby above a “like” late last night. I’ve been watching this hat for a week and was up on the auction today until about lot 150 when I had to go to my daughter’s and run a chainsaw the rest of the day.

I totally spaced out the end and was going to congratulate you on the $75 win. Bummer.
I had the high bid going into the auction but someone else bid and then I couldn't raise my bid fast enough before it sold. I didn't know the ropes of this auction site.

Really glad to see this thread is still going! I first found it in 2012 after discovering a No name hat co fedora at a thrift shop. There are no tags or marking under the sweatband, but this thread really helped me uncover a lot about the hat’s date range, general history, etc... The writing on the band was from the thrift store, they love to screw up beautiful vintage stuff by writing the price on them. I think it was 50% off because I remember I paid $3 for it.. probabaly less than it cost when it was new! The hat is in pretty good condition but has collected some dust over the years hanging in my closet. I’m wondering how to go about getting it cleaned, and also curious of its value, although I don’t really have a plan on selling it. I saw a pretty beat up bowler on eBay for $1200.00, which seemed like a far reach. Thanks All!
