GREAT Dobbs, and an awesome jacket. You're killin' it this morning, Timmy!!Good morning y'all ! This morning's lid is another Dobbs West . I really like the 6 cord ribbon and the tone on tone brim edge binding which adds to the "classiness " of this hat in my opinion. Chilly morning down here @ Rock Bottom so I broke out another old friend today too. Scully fringed buckskin jacket from waaaaay back in the day ! lol.

It has such character.
Wonderful velour, Daniele. Perfect for the time of year.
Thanks a lot to you all. It was one of my "mistery" hat now it has name producer and some air after a long period of restDaniele, I will try to find the "Bantam" trademark status in Germany. I think your hat could be from the later 1930s early 1940s but can't say for sure.
Cosa si può dire di un cappello così? E' una meraviglia!orsalino misto...
Live the Jacket! Very Buffalo Bill-ish!Good morning y'all ! This morning's lid is another Dobbs West . Are ALL the vintage hats in your area as clean as the ones you post? Yours are always so cleqn and sharp looking..... If so I may have to make plans for a long vacation/ hat shopping trip to Italy! Most the used hats over here are often well used, abused, or neglected lolLong walk in the early afternoon sun

Happy to have "found" it and above all happy to walk in my valley.
Thanks Rick for your words, but no, here too there are super used and worn hats and I haven't bought them for years so as not to have unpleasant surprises. Are ALL the vintage hats in your area as clean as the ones you post? My sincere complements on all your Chapeus!
Ill definately keep that gracious offer in mind! Anytime I travel overseas, I always seem to make arrangements to meet with someone beforehand... Makes for a much nicer trip. If nothing else, the invitation is a good excuse to finally renew my passport ( Mine expired about 3 yrs ago lol)Thanks Rick for your words, but no, here too there are super used and worn hats and I haven't bought them for years so as not to have unpleasant surprises.
I've oriented myself towards warehouse leftovers or shops that have closed or some private individual who has well-kept collections. I must also tell you that I have a huge collection of hats that I don't know where to put anymore and in the summer I made a census of those that will go whether they are new, little used and a little worn.
If you want to come to Italy welcome and if you pass by Verona I'll be happy to meet you and show you the hats

Oh my, but I've been having a successful November, hat-wise!!
There's a whole thread on these, going all the way back to 2006, so I don't think I need to go into detail for you folks; most of you probably know more about these hats than I do.
Proudly showing off my new-to-me Demon Hanover, which possesses one of the all-time kewlest freaking linings I've ever seen on a hat.
If that’s true that the under-the-lining tag reflects the creation date, then mine was born in September, 1953, just 14 months after I was. The hat is DEFINITELY in better condition.

The Demon is a great hat and the story behind it is greater still. Definitely a rare hat and a jewell in any collection. Hoyt was a very interesting man, the hat, a treasure!Oh my, but I've been having a successful November, hat-wise!!
