You know I’m not exactly sure. I know one fell off when I turned the hat over while cleaning it up. But not sure when I made the connection on the other.

Since I often use my wind cords out on the road, I always drop test them when I get a new hat. You can imagine my surprise when I went to test the fake elastic one (I am singing that classic Radiohead song in my head now… “Fake Plastic Twenties…” :D)

I have three Knox Twenties I can think of but only one had a wind trolley (the fake one). Still, they are up there among my favorite and most often worn hats, so Knox was definitely doing something right in my book!

Here is one in a photo from last spring - this one is OPS era.

(I’m going to have to fight the urge to post old shots of my collection. <Sigh> The beach is wonderful but it is felt weather back home!)

Day with alternating sun and clouds from the end of September.

Today a tailor-made hat. Gannon made this a few years ago.

I love this hat for its attention to detail finishes.
My only complaint is that the Winchester felt has a not particularly attractive texture and finish.

On the other hand, I chose it on the monitor and I shouldn't complain.
Thanks for your appreciations.

I swapped out a hatband on the Akubra Coobalah yesterday. Figured I wear it out and about today and see how it looks in the daylight. The original crocodile hatband was kind of lopsided ( 1" tall on one side and 1/2" on the other), so it had to go... I salvaged this nice feathered band off of a Stetson and liked the looks of it. Just need to remove the Stetson Pin. Ill see if I can just remove the pin or if i need to replace with something else before I sew it down permanently. For the record, this one used to have a 3-1/8" brim and has been trimmed down to a more svelte 2-3/4"

Cheers, Eric -
First I saw a Whippet with a wind cord. Wow.

Then I noted the second Whippet with a wind cord, and that the first wind cord was contrasting. Two double wows.

Finally I saw a 3X Royal Stetson Whippet. What?!?! Triple wow to the third power!

My mind is totally blown.

I am currently humming a few bars to that Disney song....
"A whole new world...
A fresh exciting point of view..."
