Ruby & The 2023 MG NFR 004.JPG

After church this morning we are going to be in the classic car tour of The New Forest, stopping off at some fine watering holes. We have actually booked a table for lunch at the last one.
Complimenting this blazer proved a challenge. Tina found the perfect fabric to make my trousers, she then sent a swatch off to the milliners that make my hats. Here you see the end result.

Where she bought her hat I have no idea, but the ladies at church will love it. They will love the dress and bolero that she has made for herself too. And I am sure that one or two ladies on this afternoon's classic car tour will be photographing her.

The Deventer bookmarket has been noted. What a place, are there books in many languages?

The Knox25, I just love the brim.
Thank you, Robert. There are several traders who specialise in books in different languages.

Rehfus & Cie. "Olympia Extra Qualität" possibly mid 1950s. I found this Soft Felt back in 2015.

Superb hat, Steve.

Cavanagh and Dalton Homies are doing it for me!
Thanks, Joe. Rocking the Knox twenty there I see.

It seems a fantastic day, for northern standard, to visit the books fair in Deventer.
For hats only one winner...this in the picture.
I forgot to mention that I was in Deventer in one of my explorations in the Netherlands, the city is among my favorites with some other small towns on the mainland of the Orange Kingdom - For the strategic iron or masonry bridges I know the recent stories very well , out of films, in real life.
Grazie, Daniele. Deventer is always worth a visit. Thy're known for their Dickens Festival mid-december as well.

The “little something extra” from Stefan was this Barbisio Titan, in “Atlantico” color; appropriate name, since its grey is tinged with the slightest hint of blue. Like the cervo-colored one, its vintage is estimated to be mid-1950s to mid-1960s.

Good to see it in action, Mark. I could never get it to work for me the same way it does for you.

Hückel Weilheim "Special" possibly mid to later 1950s. I have worn this one a lot.
Found this Soft Felt back in 2012.

Hückel (Weilheim) Advertising Pocket Mirror Match Holder. Unfortunately the match heads had to be removed for shipping. Found this back in 2014.

The book market looks amazing, though I usually read on the Kindle these days. I love the real thing more, but the kindle is so light and convenient to throw in a bag.
With the 37 degree temperatures we’ve been getting every day lately, it’s the two straws that appeal to me the most from this week’s selection.
Looks like you’ve been eating pretty well, yourself!
Thanks, Gary. There's something about a real book that's special. Digital is fine for convenience sometimes, but it can't replace the real thing for me.

Borsalino in the morning, but took it off already. It will be to hot for felt today....
This is 1 of the Borsalino's i purchased from @Mean Eyed Matt :)
