Nice Biltmore today, Reggie. They made some nice hats before Bollman took over the name.

I have neither a cape nor a cloak, and I can already see my wife laughing in my mind’s eye. :) All the more reason the find one: we can use more laughter.
LOL! Yep, my wife too! Thanks.

Looking sharp Reggie. Sans beard I see now
Thanks, Joe. Time for it to go.

Today's weather found me in a cap for the afternoon/evening.

As a life long Republican, my voting this election was very difficult. I could not in good conscience support the narcissist in charge. I dropped off our ballots at the county courthouse this morning after a much needed haircut. Felt that a more dignified look was in order so I wore a European Homburg in navy blue by Mayser-Milz. It made me feel a little better...

I’ve been a happy independent voter for over a decade now. I don’t feel obligated to defend the antics of any of the crazies no matter the brand.

I’ve never had an election where I’ve been so torn with internal conflicts. I’m more than a little terrified of the extremes on both sides. I do hope that we see record turnouts for voting. I don’t know that a blue homburg will be enough to assuage my fears but I’m willing to give it a try.

Today the anti Covid rules are tightened, so there will be a little more masking
Thibet blu 7.jpg

For my walk to my office I chose a French hat from the 1930s
Thibet blu 4.jpg

Thibet size 59 in blue color. Felt is a blend of wool and fur. It is very firm and even foldable without steam
Thibet blu 2.jpg

Without lining, it has only a small sticker from the headwear of A. Meer from Strasbourg. The dimensions are impressive and very good for a suit with jacket and coat.

Thanks for the likes of the last week!
Have a nice day

That's a beautiful hat Daniele - both in terms of colour and as you said, proportion. Goes well with your ensemble of the day (mask included)! Stay safe and wear your many wonderful hats in good health!

This morning I chose to wear a 1930's Kennsington fedora.

This is a fine example of details matter. The frayed bow and the gorgeous liner are examples of the care that went into men's hats by this Canadian manufacturer.

Yes the ribbon and crown need some steam. I have quite a few hats lined up ready for steam this morning.

Snappy suit Michael. I'm hoping snow is not in my immediate future here.
Thanks Perry. It's my favorite. And the weather finely is agreeable with wearing it. It's heavy.

Great looking Whippet for you today. Is that a vintage or modern?

Thanks,
Michael

Sunbathing in Juan Carlos' porch. MacLachlan Golden Beaver Hundred. It turned out to be almost my size. Just wearing it for an hour has made it adapt to my head a little. A week on a custom band block should do it.
It is very dirty, though, so I am going to give it a naphta bath and condition the sweatband with Lexol today, and will post pics this afternoon.
I have an immaculate identical liner from another MacLachlan, so I will ask Ignacio to transplant later.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.
