Just the beater Malrov while looking at some old tractors.

I’m drawn to this Allis-Chalmers Model G for some reason.

Nice, Bob!
I always wanted a tractor, or two.
A hat like that's a good way to knock them down to consider your price too.
It used to make me a little nervous when people started addressing me as sir. I got over it.

My uncle Beryl had tractors in his farm in Wisconsin, and my Mom bought me a red toy tractor when I was a little boy. I have never driven one, and wouldn't know what to do with one if I did, but I have liked tractors for as long as I can remember.

Basically, you choose a gear then lift your foot straight up off of the clutch.

Not far from my old stomping grounds; Elgin, St. Charles, Batavia.

Ha! I lived in Elgin (Williamsburg Green) for four years, and worked as a dentist in Aurora for one of them. You could find real Mexican barbacoa there, in "La Chicanita".

We used to like to go to St. Charles for lunch on the weekends. I remember I used to have to go to Batavia to pay something related to property taxes.

Borsalino Qualità Superiore size 59 (US 7 3/8) sold in Stuttgart - Germany

It is of recent production therefore no indication on the paper label.
The color is "mirtillo" and the proportions of the crown are remarkable

Interesting the brim trim that matches the ribbon. The felt is of medium consistency and quite rigid, there is a wind cord

Happy Saturday everyone

Spent part of the day yesterday riding the bike and walking the woods in this Harris Tweed cap

Sadly, missing the sweat. Don't know who made it. Crown liner says Royal Beaver Custom Made "20". Lovely lightweight felt. Raw edge with one line of stitching 2 1/2".

Came with a nice Mallory box with leather strap. Also got an oval Stratoliner box. I was really hoping there was a Stratoliner inside, but alas.

Have a great Saturday evening,
Michael

Unseasonably cold weather, including waking up to a light frost this morning. Took advantage of the temps to christen the longhair green Dobbs:

Got some dimensional specs, hoping to get detailed interior shots after dinner. Capturing the color is proving to be quite difficult. Today turned into an overcast day.

Brims up or down?

Oh my! I like that Dobbs a lot. I’m thinking brim up too, and that surprises me. I’ll be looking to the additional photos.
