What a hat, Steve. The felt, the ribbon, the bow, the sweatband and, by no means least, the wonderful 1930s late art deco liner. All to wish for. Where did you find it? On your travels with Daniele?

Steve, Thanks! I found this hat one year ago. I am not sure who made it but it's really nice. The liner is very unique. Good for Halloween. :)

Good for all occasions, Steve. The liner is so interestingly unique. Post modern meets art deco. So many things about this hat say 1930s especially the liner. Where did you find it? And what are your thoughts about it's origins?

Love the color on that OR Michael. Interesting details on that cool jacket.
Thanks Red. It was showing a lot of blue, on my monitor at least, today. Usually it tilts more toward green.

Excellent combo again, Michael. Dig that shooting jacket.
Thanks Stefan. The jacket is an Orvis model that was made in England. Too big for me, but works when I wear heavy sweaters under it.

I don't have a witches' hat, but I'm fairly certain there was some black magic involved involved in making these velour hats (though rumors of human sacrifice were strongly denied).

That is some fine velour.

Thanks all,

I figured The Day of the Dead required a black homburg. Today I'll be celebrating in a Hückel Homburg from Hut Lange. We think this one is a newer offering, maybe 1970s?

In great shape and a great shape, Red. A nice model.

Had a little argument with a car while I was out biking yesterday. I lost and think I got a cracked rib out of the deal. Made in hard to take photos of this Stetson Royal Deluxe this morning.

One would think that Day of the Dead would bring Matt and a tie-dye out of the woodwork. One can hope.

It's so overcast and rainy today that any outdoor shot would look horrible. It looks like mid-evening out there, not mid-morning. Anyway, a quick pic of my Granite Gannon for TAR Thursday.
